Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We used Namely for about a year and during that time the experience was okay but left a lot to be desired. Some of the pros that Namely had were the onboarding process and the social setup for employees to interact with one another. Unfortunately, the pros did not outweigh the cons and therefore led us to move on to a different vendor. The customer service left was very inconsistent and difficult at times especially when we were working on our ACA reporting forms. That process was a nightmare as we had to do it manually even though we were told it was part of the service we paid for. In addition to being promised many things during the demo process that fell through such as document storage and mismanagement of data.

Namely is aesthetically very pleasing and navigates like other social media platforms which can be appealing to potentially a remote workforce who interacts more online than in person. Unfortunately, it did not serve our population well as we are primarily manufacturing where people are not as interested in utilizing the HRIS for interactions when they would rather connect in person.
