We are a contract based organization. We write contracts all year for non-fair events along with hundreds of contracts for our annual fair.
Ungerboeck Software is used to create and organize our contracts, perform accounts receivable and accounts payable tasks and record all our accounting activity.
Pros
Creation and organization of contracts.
Accounts receivable related to contracts that owe us money.
Purchase order system and payments.
Ease of use in exporting financial data for financial reporting.
Cons
Contracts tie to AR but not to AP in direct fashion. Some duplicate entry for payables related to contracts is required.
Still in midst of fully upgrading to web based version 20 program. Certain areas still need to use version 19.

I believe the strength of the system is the integration of contracts and the AR process. Companies not using a lot of contracts might not need a system this powerful.
In my previous role as Associate Director of Event Management at Marquette University (1994-2018), I supervised the university's event management operation and was the lead application functional specialist for the University’s reservations system, USI (Ungerboeck Software International). The Event Management Office team coordinates 36,000 campus meetings and events per year. These events are scheduled throughout campus; including in/outdoor facilities, academic classroom space and recreations facilities. Ungerboeck Software is the primary communication tool utilized by 15+ departments across campus to manage and coordinate events from start to finish. As the primary communication tool USI software helps to manage campus activities in a central location, avoids duplicate effort, and eliminates the possibility of duplicate bookings.
Pros
Ease of use. Once configured and work flow processes are determined, users are up and running in one (1) orientation & training session. Online Knowledge Base and Video tutorials are helpful resources.
Customization. The flexibility to customize screens, layouts, fields, etc. is a HUGE benefit. Add or hide fields based on your company needs are available at functional user level.
Trace & Notification features. Built-in reminders or "to do" lists keep staff on track. Never miss a deadline! Email w/ full HTML, import and export features are fantastic.
Cons
At availability booking level, I would like to see an option to add Move In (set up) and Move Out (tear down) times rather than copying/pasting once space is booked.
Strengthen the iEBMS field functionality; specifically the online booking request and calendar of events.

Ungerboeck Software is best suited for small or large service or product based organizations. The "out of the box" work flow process & set up is suitable for most business operations. The flexibility to configure work flow, layout of screens, fields, and individual user settings makes the software suitable to many business types.
We have been using Ungerboeck for 4-5 years, and it has progressively gotten better. We use the product across our department which is special event facilities including a performing arts center, arena, and stadium. We use this product for event scheduling, invoicing, and tracking to keep all records accessible for all users.
