Robust All-in-One Laboratory LIS

The LigoLab LIS system is the go-to platform for the majority of
molecular and anatomic pathology work that comes to our lab. We use it
on a daily basis as the primary platform for us to track surgical,
non-GYN cytology, molecular, and cytology specimens we receive. When we
switched over in 2017 from our previous platform(s), what we were
looking for was an all-in-one platform that would meet our daily needs
and simplify the order entry/resulting process for our lab staff and
team of pathologists. LigoLab has allowed us to have an efficient
platform that streamlines our lab workflow to enable us to more
effectively provide a high level of patient care. Built in reporting
features, the creation of a web portal for remote result access, and the
integration of client interfaces to directly place orders within our
system has made the accessioning process much more efficient on our side
than it was on previous platforms.

Cons
- Further customizability of certain core sections to display more information would be useful. There are some times when my users would like to have certain features or implementations available, but due to the restrictive nature of core functionality, these aren't easily configured or possible at times.
- Speed of platform. Due to how the program is implemented, booting it up can take some time on the user end though it is fine once someone enters the LIS environment. Ideally, we'd have faster load times for the program as that is the biggest complaint I receive from our doctors who use multiple systems on a daily basis.
Likelihood to Recommend
I'd highly recommend LigoLab for any lab environment looking to raise the efficiency of their daily workflow processes. A lot of other platforms require a bit of legwork to fit into a given workflow, but LigoLab is robust and adaptable with ample customer support that will allow you to find the most optimal solution to any issues you're facing. I would recommend it to any smaller lab focusing on anatomic pathology/molecular testing.
