Best Tool for testing product with cross browsing along with real virtual LambdaTest

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I used LambdaTest as a tester to test the product on different virtual devices. Which helps me to understand about how I can enhance the user experience of the product. Due to it cross browsing functionality I can test my product performance under different browser including to their version under one roof. Which is one of the great things I have seen and used so far. One of my biggest business problems has been resolved to create awareness in front of my clients about the actual product performance and visualization. Which creates trust and confidence in front of my client towards me and also motivates me to do such good work.

Pros

It provides a virtual device that acts as an actual device resolution. Due to that anyone can take a feel of how their product will behave and enact without using actual devices.
Another example is that it also provides a virtual browser with their latest version which helps to analysed the performance of the product.

Cons

As per my experience i would like to say about the performance issue specially when switching the device virtually
Another one which i would like to say about it like session timeout it occurs so quickly if person is inactive while watching and understanding the scenarios
One of the key issue which i feel is that about the documentation which sometimes maybe outdate or not provide the in depth info for automation features

As per my experience, LambdaTest is best suited for cross-browser testing due to its providing all trending virtual browsers like Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox, etc., along with their latest version. It also provides a flexibility of manual testing the product on different mobile devices which gives the actual user interface of the product for understanding the in depth info of the product.

The best thing about LambdaTest is its real-time device testing, which helps identify specific errors on multiple devices, issues that are hard to detect at once due to limited device availability.The main problem LambdaTest solves is providing access to all devices in one place, allowing developers to identify the same errors they would encounter on real devices. This makes life much easier, especially for developers who regularly face cross-device functionality issues. It's a big plus point that positions LambdaTest as an all-in-one solution.

Give Inspect element inside the testing environment
Ontime support which helps to solve any kind of issue on the platform

Cons

The very first thing is they have to increase the free testing time to 10 minutes per device to actually see the use of the product
The every device usage should limit to atleast 2 times per user to actually see the detailed view for the problem or any issues on the testing

Likelihood to Recommend

One day, I needed to test a specific issue that was occurring only on Pixel phones. I turned to LambdaTest, quickly identified the problem, and was able to fix it. There hasn't been a situation where I felt LambdaTest didn't help, it's my go-to solution for testing, as it solves many problems.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it for cross browser testing, testing mobile apps both ios and android on a wide variety of devices, before LambdaTest, we relied on different platforms but they were lacking in many features, api integration to third party apps like mattermost has been like a cherry on cake, as a reactnative dev this has become an important platform to use on daily basis

As reactnative devs we develop hybrid apps for both ios and android and testing on different physical devices is very annoying while as with LambdaTest we can just select the virtual device boot that and start testing on the go. No need to keep devices. Sometimes clients report issues and they provide the device name and if available in LambdaTest we can just test and fix the device specific bugs

we test aur automation scripts in real device and managing so much devices is not easy lots of problems we faced. LambdaTest provides real devices with good support and available in many locations which is also good.

Some devicefarm provide devices available in local like in my local ADB that is missing.
if i do not have any apk file and want to test in chrome so it should run via app package only.

We are a gen AI solution builder. We have our own analytics product built on gen AI that caters to the need of a SMB in understanding their financial health. In this product building process, we need to validate the behavior of the application features such as AI auto generated, voice, image, UX, etc which were all tested in cross browser and cross platform using the LambdaTest.

Likelihood to Recommend

Well suited for cross browser manual and automation testing. It supports geo location based testing as well.
It's best at testing on various resolutions, platforms, devices and browsers. It's not highly suitable for a localhost testing. Would be great if a system client could connect with localhost to achieve these testing.

The tool is quite good and cost effective when it comes to addressing issues of compatibility, speed, and quality by enabling automated and real-time testing. The scope includes end-to-end testing for both desktop and mobile platforms.

have used the LambdaTest for cross browser and cross OS testing, because it's so cheaper to simulate the application on different virtual platforms on LambdaTest than to buy and maintain each of the hardware. Also, at starting, we used to re-verify the simulation on "real devices" too which worked exactly like it did in LambdaTest. So, I believe it's safe to say that this tool is awesome.

As a Software Test engineer, we have to test web applications on various operating Systems like Mac, Linux and windows. So, we have started using LambdaTest to cover testing on windows 11, Mac Monterary, versions and even Mobile app testing we can perform. It is a great platform to run automation scripts for web and mobile device.
