We are in the middle of implementing UKG Ready with a go live date of 10/1/25. This includes core modules for payroll, benefits, time and attendance, ATS, ESS, reporting and dashboards. We decided to move to UKG because Paycom lacks the functionality to meet our needs now, it can’t scale for the growth we plan, and the customer service is terrible.

UKG Ready is our employee facing portal. It is the option for our employees to log in, update their personal information themselves, onboarding, open enrollment, performance management, and file feeds for insurance. This has helped to make things more efficient for processing, and saving money in the long run ensuring everything has been turned off when it was supposed to be when employees left the company.

Pros

  • Design and suggestions! When building the portal, they made many suggestions to help with flow.
  • Project planning-timeline and staying on top of it!
  • Flexibility. I can adjust things or ask them to.

Cons

  • Customer service-while their customer service has been awesome so far, everyone can always improve!

We utilize the full platform for HR, onboarding, recruiting, learning, timekeeping, benefits administration, compensation management and performance. UKG Ready is flexible, allowing us to customize the platform for our specific needs, work rules, pay rules, etc. The platform allows us to track specific behaviors, assign a point value to these behaviors, and tie the points into a quarterly review to help identify problems that need correction, while rewarding behavior we want. We pay weekly, operating on an alternative work schedule with specific pay rules, which the pay calc configuration allows us to automate. We have recently incorporated Bryte AI to improve self service for our workforce

  • Payroll processing is easy to administer, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing
  • The open configuration allows you to customize work flows, security, pay rules, and more on the fly.
  • A very large customer ideas, support and resources that is easily searched for solutions provided by UKG and customers.

Cons

  • The advanced scheduler could be modified to make mass daily updates or cancellation of shifts easier.
  • The open shift process could be improved to auto post openings for employees to see.

we can’t use Linkedin as our hiring platform. We are limited characters to our performance reviews and forced to give numerical ratings when we don’t want to. We cannot get our PTO system to accrue properly.
