We use Iterable as our main ESP. We send billions of emails a year ranging from newsletters to lifecycle messages to dynamically triggered messages. We are striving to create more personalized messages and the Iterable catalog, along with an integration with High Touch has helped us connect and activate more data and send better messages.
Pros
Catalog
Super fast segmentation
Clear and easy UI/campaign setup
Customer service
Cons
Limitations with companies that have many brands in a single project
Use of custom event data within handlebar logic
Foldering options for snippets and lists
Likelihood to Recommend
We really like the catalog. We are able to pass out full content graph from all 40+ of our brands and let it live in Iterable. From that we're able to create collections that pull in content based on the brand. taxonomy, publish date, etc. From there we use handlebars within a message to pull in the collection and display automated content in minutes. Rather than relying on editors to hand-pick all of our content we can supplement with automated messages based on recency or trending content. It's been a great addition to our emails!

Iterable serves as the backbone of our multi-channel marketing automation, solving significant challenges around identity, segmentation, and powering personalized communications that drive critical business results across a range of customer journeys. It allows us to drive deeply personalized messaging and journeys for B2B and B2C use cases.
Pros
Very User Friendly
Sophisticated Audience Segmentation
Advanced Event-Triggered Campaigns
Robust Data Integration
Predictive Targeting
Cons
Data Schema Management: namely updating existing data to manage evolving data schema
ABM-level identity resolution
Likelihood to Recommend
Iterable is highly effective for building automated email journeys that are triggered by real-time user actions. The platform supports massive scale across many different projects for us. Iterable natively supports compliance efforts across business and consumer audiences. While Iterable can manage suppression internally, syncing these externally required custom approaches to manage these preference changes across disparate platforms. Deduplication of users proved to be cumbersome as well if their primary identifier wasn't the project's primary user identification key.

We use it for email marketing and embedded messaging. We also use it for reporting and for segmentation to better understand and engage with our audience. By leveraging these tools, we can track user behavior, analyze engagement metrics, and tailor our communication strategies to different customer segments, ultimately improving our overall marketing effectiveness and user experience.
Pros
AI features
User frendly
Eazy to leatn for a newbie
Cons
The segmentation filter is sometimes hard to use, to understand exactly how to correct segments, I feel like there’s lots of room for human error.
The chat function is great, but it varies something in the quality of the help you get depending on the person I’m chatting with. Most of the time it's 10/10 but sometimes I feel like there's some knowledge missing.
Likelihood to Recommend
Iterable is super user-friendly and eazy to learn. The drag and drop function makes it eazy and fun to play around with campaigns.

We are using Iterable for email communications to users and churned users. From lifecycle to onboarding to ad-hoc email communications and newsletters. We also recently launched the embedded messaging.
Pros
User friendly interface for creating campaigns and setting up journeys
Great customer service with super quick and helpful support
Continuous improvement / development of their product
Cons
Visually nice way download reporting (e.g. heatmap function)
Likelihood to Recommend
As a marketing employee, responsible for setting up campaigns/journeys and email templates, I think Iterable's functionalities are very quickly to grasp and understand so you are able to dive right in.

Iterable is our main email platform. We use it to send blast campaigns, set up automated/triggered campaigns, and build workflows triggered by API, website events & user profile updates. We also use it as a mini-CRM to hold demographic, geographic, and behavioural user data to build a holistic view of our users and owned audience
Pros
Integrations with data warehouses, such as Snowflake
Easy to set up & build templates & campaigns
Workflows are easy to build
Cons
Workflow reporting
Dynamic reporting
Deliverability reporting
Likelihood to Recommend
Iterable is well suited to B2B & B2C businesses who are looking to automate their email marketing campaigns, building triggers from either user demographic or geographic data, or behavioural data from your website or app. Iterable has a simple but effective reporting dash that helps to track campaign and workflow performance over time, but any use of dynamic content can throw off results, particularly click/engagement stats.

We are using Iterable to email users at different stages of their product journey. We use them to trigger the emails, journeys, and to send batch and blast campaigns. We segment our users and personalize their journeys to be able to reach them using Iterable. We host email templates, audience segmentations, journeys, etc. in Iterable.
Pros
Easy visualization of journeys
Simple segmentations of users
Ability for personalization
Easy modification of templates
Cons
Some of the features are clunky
There are sometimes errors when using the product/things that don't work
Likelihood to Recommend
Iterable is really good for marketers to be able to see journeys and visualize them. It is good for companies with large amounts of segmentation and who want to be able to personalize their user journeys based on their information. It is good for people with limited coding knowledge to also build email templates using drag and drop or limited html.

Our business has been using Iterable for the last 3 years, and we could not be more pleased with it. We have to have a tight turnaround on a number of our emails, and Iterable's product and the simplicity of being able to create the email from start to finish quickly is amazing. The ability to integrate custom events from actions that take place on our websites is a huge benefit too, making sure we can market our products to those most interested.
Pros
List segmentation
Drag/Drop editor template building
Journey creation for email workflows
Cons
Quick link from campaign list page to view all analytics of the email
Likelihood to Recommend
No one on our marketing team has HTML training, but thanks to Iterable's ease of use and the drag/drop template builder, we are able to create great looking emails for our company. Their list/segmentation builder is outstanding as well, making it very understandable to get the most targeted lists created for our buisness. The ease of integration and ability to tie actions that happen on our sites to events in Iterable, and the ability to segment off of those events, is a huge benefit as well.

We use Iterable to put the user journey into the hands of our marketing team and reduce the load on our engineering team to communicate with our members. Our iOS, Android, and web clients all send events to Iterable that we use to trigger campaigns to communicate with our community via email, text, and in-app messages.
Pros
Push notification campaigns
Complex workflows
Track member events
Cons
Implementation takes awhile
Likelihood to Recommend
Iterable is well suited for startups to small-medium sized companies that have a budget for member communication. If you don't have the budget, it's probably not for you. If you have a very large dataset of members, other CRM tools may be more appropriate.

Super useful for segmentation, personalisation and reporting for our marketing emails. We have been using Iterable for 1.5 years now and we are quite happy with it, we love to see the platform evolves and take our feedback for improving all its capabilities. Moreover, Iterable employees are always very kind, available and easily reachable.
Pros
Segmentation
Automation
Customer Service
Cons
Email editor
Reporting
Documentation
Likelihood to Recommend
For large database companies that want to create automation journeys, to move away from monolith type of email service providers to something more flexible, and agile.
It's also very important for us the fact that Iterable has offices in Europe with staff that can support us at every hour of the day, not solely in the afternoon.

I use Iterable for email marketing within my department and I help other departments within the company use it for their bulk email needs. Because a lot of my colleagues that use this service aren't very tech-savvy, we needed a product that was easy to use and intuitive.
Pros
Easy to use and intuitive
Our CSM is very attentive and quick to find solutions
Cons
Dynamic content available on the drag and drop side
Better reporting: Having the option to download a CSV report by campaigns instead of date, having the option to download a PNG of the graph, more graph options, ability to edit the graph's X axis to go from left to right and in order of send date instead of date created.
Likelihood to Recommend
After going through a couple of services for email marketing my company realized we needed something that was easier to use. Their drag-and-drop option is straightforward and very useful for people who don't know how to code. I'm fairly new to email marketing so our CSM has been a great resource for even the smallest of things. He's always prepared to answer my questions and follows up with solutions. Overall I'm very satisfied with our decision to use Iterable. The only reason why I gave a 9 rating is that their reporting needs some work.
