Infor CloudSuite ERP - a way to move from Excel and paper towards Digitalisation
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We are using M3, Ming.le, and Document Management.
It serves as our main ERP, and we use it for everything. Almost all things go through M3 at ESAB Europe. Orders, bookkeeping, claims (well, in this term, halfly), accounts payable and receivable & cash collection all happen through this.
Plus, in Europe, we need to connect everything - or customise them to be able to get connected - to this.
Pros
- Order handling
- Cash collection
- Basic bookkeeping
Cons
- Connectibility to other systems
- Exception handling
- AP & invoice management
- Advanced bookkeeping needs
- Task management
- Workflow management
Likelihood to Recommend
I gave a 5 because i have seen colleagues from companies we have bought working with papers and excels plus emails. Now, compared to that, Infor ERP solutions are saviors from heaven. However, if I compare it to Oracle or SAP... meh, let's just not get into it. My main problem with it is the lack of possibility to connect it with other systems [like group reporting systems, automation tools, workflow options]. It is simply having such a different 'way-of-coding' that you have a real hard time if you want to automate a process which touches M3. Like an automatic workflow. Or to book journals with the help of RPA [robotics]. Simply put, this could be a great 'get-into-the-ERP-business' tool, but not an advanced 'use-this-to-lead' kind of tool.
