It has been very helpful to use the calendar to schedule social media posts in advance. Our marketing team is remote and therefore in different timezones often so it has been vital in keeping our social media strategy consistent. It's also nice to see the different profiles we use in one place to make sure they are getting an equal amount of quality content.
Pros
Calendar for organization
Updates often
Email communication
Cons
Cheaper
Direct access to free use photos
Automatic link shortening

I always recommend it to people who I know travel often despite their career. It really does make it so much easier to stay consistent at posting content consistently and at a reasonable time for your consumers when you can schedule it in advance. I've been using it for over 3 years and see myself always being loyal to this product.
We use Hootsuite to schedule out all our social media posts in one place. The problems that it addresses is that is helps us schedule socials all in one holistic place with analytics. We had to find a platform that was user friendly, intuitive, and holistic so we could schedule, plan, and analyze all in one place. Hootsuite did that for us.
Pros
Scheduling
User interface
UX
Cons
Scheduling drafts
better analytics
any glitches

At my current global tech company, we use Hootsuite to manage, schedule and publish our daily social media posts, videos, photos, copy and digital assets. It allows for better time management across team members. One of my favorite features are the analytics and reporting tools that make it great for presenting to stakeholders.
Pros
Content publishing
Analytics and Reporting
Content scheduling
Social Media Benchmarking
Cons
Ease of social media links on stories
Editing thumbnails on videos on each platform
Tagging on every platform

At my current global tech company, Hootsuite is really a stellar tool for social media publishing, live-event posting, product marketing, industry benchmarking, competitor research, analytics and reporting and more. It really fits into just about any team or budget. It's appropriate across varies industries and geographies. Social media managers find it very effective.
We use Hootsuite primarily for social media marketing. Earlier, we used to post on social media manually, on our own; that process was somewhat time-consuming and required due diligence. In the past year, our calendar has started to get full, and since then, we thought we needed to invest in a tool that helps us schedule the posts and stories.
We came across Hootsuite, and it has helped us save time, the hassle of logging in and out every time we post, etc. It also gives us analytics on which post has performed great this week, what we should post more be it image, gif, or video. Also, it has helped us identify when to post with a time recommendation.
Overall, we had a good experience with the tool.
Pros
It helps us schedule the posts on our time and does not miss out on posting like there are no errors due to technical reasons or anything like that. The uptime is perfect.
It gives good analytics on what should we post, which posts our performing better, which post did good this week, what time shall we post, etc.
It also provides with recommendation on what to post on this day.
Cons
They need to work a little on their user interface, current user interface is okay but lacks flexibility. It takes some time to get use too.
There should be a feature where we can edit after scheduling the post
The analytics and reporting features could be more robust.

Hootsuite works best for bigger teams that handle a bunch of social media accounts on different platforms. It’s got good tools for scheduling posts, checking performance, and working together. But if you’re just one person or a small team looking for something simple or free, or if you want help from AI for writing content, it might not be the right fit.

We use Hootsuite for a lot of things! We use it to schedule content, answer our dm's, respond to comments, and keep track of customer conversations. We sometimes dive even deeper, and you can see your page's analytics. One feature that we love is that there are suggested times to schedule based on our content performance. That is super helpful to make sure we are posting at the most ideal time. There are other areas where my team uses Hootsuite, but this is the scope of what I use.
Pros
Organizing all the customers information in one area.
Very smooth and not glitchy.
Has so many features for things I didn't know I needed to keep track of.
Cons
Sometimes my posts fail and that has not been resolved.
Hootsuite does not like to post carousels on Instagram or Facebook.

Hootsuite is a great place to bring all your resources into one system. Instead of using all of the native platforms, you can do most of it here. You can also track analytics without leaving the platform. We are also excited to use the social listening feature.

I work at a full-service digital agency and I use Hootsuite in my organization to schedule social media posts for various clients. Hootsuite is helpful platform that allows me to schedule posts in advance without having to be logged in continuously on social media accounts. I appreciate how easy and easy it is to use, learn, and teach others too.
Pros
Simpilied user interface
Proactive scheduling tool
Ability to add multiple accounts at once
Cons
BlueSky intergrations
Social listening
Reporting and analytics
Optimizations and recommendations by channel
Likelihood to Recommend
Hootsuite is really easy, quick, and fun to use and fast to learn. I appreciate the flexibility in the platform to publish posts, utilize streams, develop reports and analytics, as well as provide weekly recommendations and optimizations by social media channel. It's never been easier to cross-post across social media accounts.
Hootsuite is an integral part of my day-to-day role as a social media specialist. Without Hootsuite, I would be manually scheduling content, which would take too much time out of my day. I also love how Hootsuite pulls all analytics together into one spot that is easy to digest for not only me but also my clients.
Pros
Insights - customizable, innovative, all in one place, digestible
Schedule - easy to read in a weekly view, allows you to see all clients
Ads - these looks very put together and something our organization is looking into switching to
Cons
Uploading content into Hootsuite - Our team shares a protected Drive so we are unable to connect our Drive to Hootsuite. A better system there would be helpful.
Teams/Organizations - Luckily I am a newer member so I was figuring things out but I had a couple clients scheduled out for 2 months and I accidentally deleted the organization which meant it deleted all of my scheduled posts. It was a bit heart-wrenching to find out there was not a reset or retrieve organization on this. There should be an easier or more streamlined process to setting up certain social clients into a bucket thats easy to use when scheduling.
When scheduling posts, please make a monthly view that actually shows the posts. Many people work in month long batches so when we can only see a week it makes for a lot of unnecessary back and forth.

Besides the aforementioned unfavorable Hootsuite qualities, I do still think it is a great resource. I would recommend it for scheduling, insights, ad insights, and listening as well.

Solves the problem of scheduling posts to go out consistently, and helping us figure out when our audience prefers us to post. Helps cross-post across multiple platforms easily. We post 1-2 times per week, and have just implemented a new social strategy that Hootsuite will help keep us on track with.
Pros
Posts at scheduled time
Allows uploading to multiple platforms at once
Suggests times to post
Cons
Showing zoomed out look of feed with the post (Instagram)
Better overall view of how the post will look as audience scrolls
The "edit" feature - when I want to change a posts media I have to individually go into every platform we've scheduled on to change it, if I have already scheduled it. So an easier way to access cross-platform editing once the post has been scheduled would be helpful and time-saving.
Likelihood to Recommend
Well-suited for AI generated text help and scheduling posts across multiple platforms, and for previewing the post generally. Helpful to see feedback and reach goals holistically with the goal tracker.
Less appropriate for posting videos or other interactive media. More targeted hashtags would be helpful, or targeted for our specific industry - what captions or hashtags or words would garner attention when people are searching for [insert specific industry here]. Integrating common Google Searches would be helpful.
There is so much to do for a small business, especially when it comes to social media and online presence. Hootsuite makes it a little easier to get things online and in one step to all channels.
When you're a small team, having a tool that helps to eliminate separate tasks, it frees up your day to do other things.
Pros
Multi-account management.
Ease of use.
Cons
More intuitive, step-by-step training for folks who don't know technology.
Likelihood to Recommend
The cost may prohibit some organizations from using the service, but if company has a small team and one person handling marketing, this could alleviate the need for an additional teammate. There seems to be great insights from data to determine when and where to post, which is not something even seasoned marketers have access to.
