We are currently using GoodData primarily for data modeling, visual analytics and embeded reporting, which we can integrate directly into our application and share dedicated workspaces with our clients. Key benefits are large scale of predefined metrics, visual components and easily configurable dashboards. Also Data Modeling approach used in GoodData simplifies overall process how to prepare important data sets for us.
Primary we solve our needs to have embeded analytics in our app. With GoodData we dont need any internal development resources to work on this and it was really fast to have it ready and implemented in our platform.
Pros
Visual Analytics
Embeded Reporting
Data Modeling
Cons
Some features in cloud platform are available only within API
Very rarely we have found some outdated documentation

Honestly, I described everything in the first question. Key for us was easy to use and very fast setup and integration to our platform. I can really appreciate all support and guidance provide by GoodData team on the begining and even continuosly when we need some help or we need to resolve some issues.
We use GoodData to power up analytics for our customers (businesses) and how they are dealing with their own customers. We can leverage a lot of useful capabilities of GoodData, the most liked feature currently is the capabilities of the bricks. We can set up any new account with the perfect settings every time following our guidelines and the ramp-up is quite fast. We are using the platform version with an iframe displayed in our platform.
It allows us to have a BI tool for our customers an easier way than implementing it ourselves, and it is a clean solution.
Pros
Metrics
Dashboards
Bricks in general
Documentation (can still be improved)
Cons
Documentation
Initial setups
Limitations on the MAQL
Likelihood to Recommend
I can only speak for ourselves, we think it is suited for developing a BI solution kinda fast for multiple customers. I do not think it would be the best solution if we had only a few dashboards/metrics to be done.

We use GoodData to extend the reporting capabilities of our app and allow our clients to build custom reports that deliver on their specific business needs. By embedding GoodData within our app, customers do not need to manage multiple log ins or leave the application to view critical reports and take action upon that data.
Pros
Low barrier to entry for users not familiar with BI tools
Documentation is generally helpful
UI is clean and simple
Cons
Product offerings are fragmented. Often some features are only found in one version of a product, but not another
Reports can be slow to load
Some advanced BI capabilities are not as robust as competition
Likelihood to Recommend
GoodData is a good option as an embedded BI solution for a SAAS tool if that tool needs BI capabilities beyond what makes sense to build in house, but not as overbearing or complicated as implementing a heavier, traditional BI solution like Tableau or PowerBI.

GoodData is our chosen embedded BI solution within our browser and mobile sales execution management application. We selected GoodData because it's ability to house a huge amount of data / data sets and support complex filters and metrics. Although it takes a bit of a learning curve to build reports in GoodData our end-users have found its quite easy to use just navigating through the data via filters.
Our GoodData analytics brings insights and visibility into sales execution management within the 3-tier beverage alcohol community. Through its platform our customers can analyze which field sales activities are moving the needle when coupled with sales volume data.
Pros
Custom metrics
Enhanced Filters
Custom time frame variables
Cons
Complex report building
Field limitations when connecting to Salesforce
Expensive
Likelihood to Recommend
Looking at GoodData reports through a browser UI is great - mobile is a bit of a struggle getting enough value out of a report with limited mobile retail space for filters, etc.

GoodData is what we use for our semantic and presentation layers. We built our LDM with GoodData and we ingest and refresh monumental amounts of data on a daily basis. We are hoping to transition from a hosted platform to Good Data's cloud platform which will allow for streamlined improvements, updates and changes and will eventually allow us to implement the GoodData CN product
For us, Good Data helps us with our data architecting and modeling. This is huge for us because our entire product is data and dependent on a solid architecture/structure to deliver value
Pros
Easily visualize the logical data model
Add/remove data sources
Customize data flow path and what you allow to be analyzed
Cons
It's such a broad product, it's hard to know what the best practices are
Sometimes it's hard to navigate between the presentation layer and the LDM/backend layer with more details
I would LOVE to see more customization available in the presentation of the data, it's very restricted with what we can show
Likelihood to Recommend
GoodData is well suited when you have a lot of data sources and you need a single location where you can pipe the data into and then create insights/charts/analytics based on the data you've piped in there. It's also great if you want to customize how the datasets interact with each other and what that logical data model looks like. Super super intuitive there.
I think it's not great for data presentation if your product is presenting data to your customers. For internal use, it's great.

We are using it in two areas. One for inhouse analytics and another for enabling advance analytics for customers on higher plans. Inhouse analytics we are looking at state of onboarding for specific customers and overall within our system. This give us insight while tapping on the same infrastructure as our customers leading to cost saving and development time.
Provide insight into data for both internal use and customer needs with minimal development required beyond initial setup and integration. It also provide us with a way to prototype new report type easily before building them within the system.
Pros
Report building
Ease of onboarding
Scalable cost structure
Cons
Complexity of the cost structure
Changing of super admin to another person
Managing access
Likelihood to Recommend
If you are familiar with other tools already and the budget allows, a tool that you or your team is familiar with is probably a better choice or a more popular options might provide you with more candidates with pre existing experience. In any case you need a BI tool that provide low startup cost and gradual growing cost like in a case of startup this is definitely the best options with minimal trade off.
