We use Frontline Recruiting & Hiring for our applicant tracking needs. We use this platform to post internal and external positions, allowing internal and external candidates to apply. If you use requisition numbers, Frontline Recruiting & Hiring help you track the req. Prior to using Frontline Recruiting & Hiring, our applications were still in paper format and we will keeping tracking of applications by date. We would discard any applicants that were a year old. Using the Frontline Recruiting & Hiring platform makes the process that more seamless.
Pros
Management access
Requisition Tracking
Universal use with other local School Districts and Charter Schools
Cons
When Frontline Recruiting & Hiring notifies us that we have an interested applicant that applied. The email should include the resume and application.
Based on our industry, it would be nice to be able to modify the application
Frontline Recruiting & Hiring is not as user friendly when trying to search candidates after a certain period of time.

Frontline Recruiting & Hiring is well suited for the educational industry. Time is valuable and requiring candidates to apply at each employer of choice takes time and can be a bit frustrating. Many schools in Delaware and Pennsylvania use Frontline Recruiting & Hiring. An employer who uses Frontline Recruiting & Hiring makes it easier on the application process because the applicant only has to complete the application once. All you have to do is create one login and password, then they're able to use the same application to apply to any multiple different employers, as long as they use Frontline Recruiting & Hiring. I love this feature.

C-Level Executive in Human Resources (201-500 employees)
We've used Frontline Recruiting & Hiring platform for the last 5 years in our school district of 1600 employees. We use it to track the approval process of the posting of a position, postings, managing the hiring timelines, sending out inquiries for reference checks, using it as an interview and tracking workflow, and more. It steps in as a digital solution to humans doing a lot of paper pushing and organizing, and it allows applicants to apply to one or many different posted jobs.
Pros
organization
tracking timelines
all data in one location
Cons
interface isn't friendly - isn't modern or current
looks clunky for what it is
its an expensive product platform
customer service isn't quick to respond
Likelihood to Recommend
- one stop shop platform
- manages communication to applicants
- if one person is hired, the others receive an immediate thank you/no thank you email
- can see in the workflow who still needs to sign off on a position

I like using it as an educator. I can easily put in my requested days off. However, I wish we could attach notes for the sub. Just a thought. It would make it easier for all.
[Recruting & Hiring] is one of three modules we use from Frontline. [Frontline Recruiting & Hiring] totally replaced our paper based system & has automated the hiring process for our HR department. HR seems to easily be able to create job openings, post them for applicants, & review employee information to interview.
Pros
Allows for internal & external applicants to apply for open positions
Gathers pertinent information in one place for managers to review easily
Customer support is excellent & many ways to get help
Cons
Workflow setup process is somewhat clunky & antiquated

[Frontline Recruiting & Hiring] did TOTALLY replace our paper based system. HR seems to be satisfied with it & they support it from within their department. Interfacing [it] with other Frontline modules seems easy, but we don't because our "system of record" is another ERP solution. Thus far, interfacing with other systems it not easy & takes development people from both sides to work together to get it working....which we haven't successfully completed (1+ month working on it).
Frontline Recruiting & Hiring is being used across the whole organization. It really helps in normalizing the hiring process and allows us to have all our information in one place. I also really enjoyed using it when I applied for the position I am in as it was helpful in making sure that I answered all the questions and allowed me to quickly complete the process and submit my application.
Pros
Keeps all information of applicants in one place.
Makes the process quick and easy.
Simplifies application process to allow for any individual to quickly complete an application.
Allows user to have all applicants at their fingertips.
Cons
Their website and app could use a bit of an update.
It seems very dull and uninteresting in color and design.
It can sometimes be difficult when writing longer excerpts.
Likelihood to Recommend
Frontline Recruiting & Hiring is useful when trying to pick between applicants. It places all information in one place and makes it easy to compare between what one applicant may have experience-wise versus another. It is also nice that all applications come into one central area. It can be difficult to use when having MANY applicants but in most cases is very useful.
We use Frontline for all job applicants in our school district (200+ employees). We also integrate with Frontline's central, time management and absence management products. Using Recruiting & Hiring we are able to import new hires and their info directly into those other systems. Also, it's very easy to have supervisors see potential candidates and their resumes, education and other pertinent data.
Pros
Easy to read, well organized.
Passes info on to other programs in frontline's suite.
Dashboard shows how many jobs are open, filled and other important data.
Cons
Slight learning curve, not quite as intuitive as frontline's other products.
Cost is not cheap, though worth it.

Any district or business that needs to switch to paperless hiring will be well suited for using Frontline Recruiting & Hiring. We have only one HR person and it definitely makes their job easier, as well as for the supervisors who only has a finite amount of time to look through potential candidates.
It is used to enter all of our job openings and then for those who apply to use for the application process. It is able to address the issues of candidates turning in incomplete applications because it keeps them on track and lets them know what else they have left to complete. In addition, if they want to apply for more than one opening they have no redundancy they can just use the same documents.
Pros
Organized the process of hiring and introducing the job listing details to the public.
For applicants it allows them to get their documents and application together at their own pace.
It saves the data and allows a person to be a perpetual applier, they can just reuse their historical data.
Cons
It could modernize the look and feel, it is starting to look dated to me.
All the places that use it look the same to me as well, it should be more customizable per the company.
Likelihood to Recommend
I would say if you have a large scale operation and need to do a great deal of hiring you can not make a mistake using Frontline. In a smaller (less than 1000) organization it may be overkill, I can not say really because that is not my scenario, but in my experience, it has been very worthwhile to have our organization use it for hiring and maintaining our hiring database.
