It is a backup for all our files. We have no dependence on any one device since everything is in the cloud and accessible anywhere. It also allows us to simply and quickly share large files by using the 'Share Dropbox Link'. Particularly good integration with Mac OS. Finally, the selective sync option means I don't need to buy terabytes of storage on each device.
Pros
Cloud storage to be independent of devices
Ability to share links to large files with one click
Selective sync means no need to buy Tb of physical storage on portable devices
Cons
Selective sync is a major feature that should be more easily accessible and simpler to use (eg highlighting large directories that are rarely accessed)
File search on dropbox.com is a mess. I find it very difficult to search for and find specific files easily using web access compared to in the file system on my Mac.

Home based offices where large IT infrastructure isn't available or appropriate. Allows remote access and reduced dependence on any one device.
As a small business owner, I am responsible for all of the content that I upload to social media and utilize for the packaging of my products. I'm able to store all of my content and Dropbox to eliminate overloading my hard drives and cell phone capacity so I appreciate the service very much. The fact that I'm able to use it on my phone and my computer makes it very easy for me to toggle between my computer and my smartphone and still have the same data available on both. This is truly a service that I can appreciate and definitely recommend!
Pros
Allow you to toggle between using your phone and computer to access the same information.
Taking the burden off of your cell phone and a computer memory to store all of your content in one location.
Easy downloadability and login no matter what device you're using.
Cons
I would love it if Dropbox would help me to organize better. I know I can create folders which is nice but using AI to automatically catalog my photos would be amazing.
Ensuring that I can log in easily and look at old content quickly would be great.
Having access to my data without having secondary login on a one sign in device would be great.
Likelihood to Recommend
I definitely would recommend Dropbox to anyone who runs a small business like me because there are many ways to create content but not many efficient ways to store it. Dropbox is an online easily accessible option to ensure you have all of your data in one location. I like the fact that I can send someone an actual file or a link to a file which helps to eliminate additional memory from their devices as well as my own. It's affordable and when you pay for the full year you don't have to think about paying for it.
I have used Dropbox as a file and photo sharing platform to provide virtual administrative assistance to non-local clients since I am not present physically to gather documents. Dropbox provides a secure and easy way to gain access to needed files, organize them, and download or store them as needed.
Pros
Integrating into desktop file manager
Password saving services
Secure file storage
Cons
Web based access is clunky and can be difficult to find what I need

One of my favorite things is that I can access it right from my desktop without having to visit another website to upload a document or photo.

Dropbox is well suited for myself and my team because we know that we are storing our important (and large) files within an area that can be easily accessed throughout everyone without a fear of them getting lost. Everything is very easy to upload, although it takes time depending on how large your file size is. It is overall very effective within my job since I access it for important documents and assets on a daily basis.
We use Dropbox in our organization mainly for file storage & sharing. Dropbox made it easier to collaborate on documents in real-time, leaving comments. Since several persons opened the file, Dropbox can also send notifications if there were changes made in the files; thus, it is also a really big help for us to track changes. It also has file recovery, allowing us to revert to previous versions if needed, which helps us to be efficient in our tasks and prevents us from remaking or re-doing the file all over again.
Pros
File Storage & Organization.
File Sharing & Real-time collaboration.
Can be access anywhere & anytime.
File recovery.
Integration with Third-Party Tools.
Cons
Offline Access and Syncing.
Enhanced file organization tools such as tagging.
Likelihood to Recommend
Since we are working remotely, Dropbox is well suited for remote work collaboration and is compatible with multiple platforms. However, it would be a hassle if we were working offline due to some circumstances since, currently, it does not support offline access and syncing.

Any scenario where different teams or users need to access, edit, and send files quickly and easily. I work in sales and marketing and can promptly get files from my art department or product development teams. I can also create folders to export or send to external partners.
