One of the challenges we have had with D&B Hoovers is that it does not integrate with all of the software and systems that we use. I think there is a huge opportunity to create some integration with these platforms. I also think the usage of AI to some capacity is an opportunity for D&B Hoovers to create more value for its customers.

One of the challenges I come across is limited information pertaining to smaller companies. I would say their book of business is $10million or less. I'm only able to locate the very basics. I would love to see more up to date information on some businesses that I lookup because the information can be misleading as far as the number of employees and the actual revenue of that company.

Pros

  • I like the fact that I'm able to locate company information pretty quickly.
  • I love the in-depth information provided for a company that provides a bird eye view of the company's assets, liabilities, swot analysis, competitors, etc.
  • The industry overview is a good one for me because it provides information that is invaluable on what I need to properly assist clients/customers in my field of work.

Cons

  • The competitor list can be updated because I run into at times with smaller market clients with very little details on who those clients are.
  • Again for smaller market clients, there may or may not be much information pertaining to the financial/industry info.
  • I run into trouble sometimes locating smaller market clients. I'm not sure if there is a cap on the size as far as financials are concerned that matters but I have to do some digging around when that occurs.

  • DB Hoovers has provided our team access to a vastly updated database, of which in turn has helped us to streamline lead generation and target ideal customers.
  • I love love love the fact that D&B Hoovers has allowed us to access detailed company profiles and real-time alerts. This has helped us to be more informed and more strategic in our conversations with prospects.
  • With this wonderful tool's extensive database of companies worldwide it has enabled us as a company to expand our reach into new markets and identify new opportunities in international markets that has shown tremendous success on our end.
