Ceridian Dayforce - strong suite of products that can be great.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Dayforce is our Payroll Engine system for timekeeping and Time & Attendance management. We also use the Performance, Talent, Compensation, and Learning modules of Dayforce. Dayforce Wallet is another product that is rolled out across North America. This helps us have a one-stop-shop HCM solution for our region where everything from employee master data to payroll data to performance data lives, giving us a homogeneous platform to perform most of our HR calendar activities and then leveraging that rich data set to drive meaningful analytics.

Great Timekeeping and Payroll Solution

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Ceridian Dayforce for timekeeping and payroll within several of our business groups. Rolling this out as our new timekeeping solutions across the organization. Previously, each business group was utilizing their own timekeeping systems and this was being integrated to payroll. With everyone on the same system, this eliminates issues and streamlines our process.

Great product

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It is used for employees to clock in and out, and track their time off, benefits, etc. I am a manager who oversees the employees.

Pros

  • entering time off/pto

Cons

  • Some employees have difficulty clocking in and out on the app

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use all components of Dayforce to address Talent, WFM, Recruiting, Payroll, Benefits, and training.

Pros

  • WFM - time and attendance tracking is easy for admin and managers. There are only a few key steps and I am happy to hear that Dayforce is continually improving.
  • Payroll - we are a managed client so payroll processing is smooth and helpful.
  • Benefits - we are also managed with benefits so we get a lot of support for both admin and end-user

Cons

  • Technical glitches continue to ail us. Release schedules are not regular and don't always seem planned.
  • The ATS portion is clunky and regularly has major technical issues.

Return on Investment

  • The recruiting ROI is palpable. Our recruiters are more efficient in their sourcing and hiring that they have saved the company $1.2m in 18 months alone.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used Dayforce for both HR and Payroll. It allows us to seamlessly work between the two and gives us access to an enormous amount of information.

Pros

  • Online storage of employee confidential information, including uploaded forms.
  • Manage Payroll and Benefits.
  • Takes care of Payroll Tax Reporting.

Cons

  • Font size and colors could be better, the screens can be hard to read.
  • There is so much data that finding the right report can be a challenge. Often, I have to build my own report, which is time-consuming.
  • Individual Support: We used to have account representatives, but this has gone away, and we now feel that there is little to no personal contact between Dayforce and the Customer.

Return on Investment

  • Dayforce does a great job, and they look to the future regarding the path of HRM and payroll.
  • The quality of support and resolving individual Issues has decreased over the last few years. We had an issue with a mistake that Dayforce Tax made on our quarterly reporting, and we ended up getting a hefty fine. Even though we requested Dayforce fix their error, nothing was ever done.
