Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Dayforce in my day to day to complete payroll for 6 different entities in different countries. I also use Dayforce as an HRIS system to onboard employees and ensure all information is entered to help with tracking and reporting when needed. The system has allowed me to be successful in my role as I have access to information, and I am able to complete tasks with the autonomy that Dayforce provides. The ticketing system and customer service support for Canada and the US entities is amazing! There is always a team ready to help and I find this super helpful when completing tasks under a deadline.

Likelihood to Recommend

Dayforce is well suited for filing payroll tax and providing support when needed, especially with the US and Canada countries. I do think there can be improvement for the Ireland and UK countries, I understand that these are new frontiers to Dayforce. The response time is a bit slower and the filing of the P11D forms in Dayforce is very tedious. I really like the ability that the platform has to file year end forms for Canada and the US.

. Dayforce is used for all of our HR tasks including payroll, employee documents, onboarding, performance reviews and hiring

Pros

Excellent onboarding function that makes it personal to your company
Once set up properly, payroll is automated and seamless
Employee profiles make it easy to see all key info at once

Cons

Reports can be a challenge as they are very complex to create
The mobile app has limited functions compared to desktop
Not all features of Dayforce are used for us as it is built for enterprise-level companies

Likelihood to Recommend

Dayforce is great for a mid-size growing company, or large company. It has immense capabilities to automate processes within HR. If we had less than 150 employees, it would not be worth it to build such a complex system.

Dayforce is new for Slickdeals, but the goal is to have it serve as the source of truth and be the cross functional link to help make everyone work better, smarter and faster. This is helping us control spending and cut down on the number of vendors we use.

Pros

Compliance
Multi-state taxation
Streamlining workflows and insights via analytics

Cons

Customer service especially with the off-shore implementation teams. We still have far to many hiccups from things not addressed during implementation.
Costs are not clear for small clients, too many additional fees for what is standard with other providers.

Likelihood to Recommend

The consistency of the compliance area of Dayforce has increased over the years and continues to outpace even the large service providers. Saving companies from huge fines and legal fees is another reason I would choose Dayforce even if it's for less than 100 employees

We use all components of Dayforce to address Talent, WFM, Recruiting, Payroll, Benefits, and training.

Pros

WFM - time and attendance tracking is easy for admin and managers. There are only a few key steps and I am happy to hear that Dayforce is continually improving.
Payroll - we are a managed client so payroll processing is smooth and helpful.
Benefits - we are also managed with benefits so we get a lot of support for both admin and end-user

Cons

Technical glitches continue to ail us. Release schedules are not regular and don't always seem planned.
The ATS portion is clunky and regularly has major technical issues.

Likelihood to Recommend

Overall I see a much easier approach to day-to-day HR activities such as scheduling, hiring, and self service. Self-service is a major component that is used at my org.

The business problems the product addresses is having a system that can do these things.

We used Dayforce for both HR and Payroll. It allows us to seamlessly work between the two and gives us access to an enormous amount of information.

Pros

Online storage of employee confidential information, including uploaded forms.
Manage Payroll and Benefits.
Takes care of Payroll Tax Reporting.

Cons

Font size and colors could be better, the screens can be hard to read.
There is so much data that finding the right report can be a challenge. Often, I have to build my own report, which is time-consuming.
Individual Support: We used to have account representatives, but this has gone away, and we now feel that there is little to no personal contact between Dayforce and the Customer.

While Dayforce does a great job in data management, it has fallen behind in customer support and issue resolution.

We use Dayforce to keep track of our 700+ employees. We use reporting and analytics to combat turnover, increase productivity through scheduling, and to make strategic decisions. Data showed that we have been able to reduce labor costs and increase profits for the company by making changes we were only able to notice through the power of Dayforce reporting & scheduling.

Pros

Provide data/analytics to create customized reports to fit the needs of our company
Make it easy to adhere to state laws/updates us when there are any changes
Is user-friendly and has many ways of filtering data to find what you are looking for. provides detailed information we need

Cons

Remove 2 page timesheets and perhaps add 2 week view per employee on one page
Reports going to inbox, downloading them, and opening them (too many steps) a quick preview should be provided
Dayforce customer support takes too long to respond/solve inquiries

We are a production company that sees high turnover rates, time theft, and high labor costs. Dayforce provides a very detailed time-keeping system. Displays errors, Worked not scheduled, scheduled not worked, all key features needed to analyze productivity, turnover, etc. Reports allow you to see specific data, trends to show our company how to remain competitive and profitable.

Dayforce is our HRIS system. We have a complex business reliant on government funding. Dayforce's platform is flexible enough our agency to get what we need from the system. The platform is used by many other local nonprofits, which is very helpful for us. We have had some issues reaching out to Dayforce for adequate support.

Easy to pull up records
lots of flexibility and tools

Cons

In my opinion, MFA is not very good
In my experience, reports are not always easy to generate
In my experience, GL interface doesn't identify errors

Dayforce is good for nonprofit organizations. We use another company Lifeworks to help communicate with Dayforce for us, since we started using them Dayforce has been better. Dayforce has all the options we need. The data that we need for our records is also easily downloaded and saved. our agency has had issues with Dayforce competitors and data being saved.
