I use the Cisco Webex Desk Pro as my personal collaboration device at home. Desk Pro allows me to seamlessly access internal and external meetings on major web conferencing platforms. Working remotely has never been so fun and inclusive, even though I'm remote, I feel like I'm in person with my teammates. Cisco Desk Series Review

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use the product to connect internally and externally. That helps us with bridging the divide between distance. So I'm in a remote part of Australia and I'm able to connect and collaborate with people all over the world.

Pros

  • I think it's best in class in terms of its quality
  • The ease of use is up there as well

Cons

  • My biggest gripe with the Desk Pro is that using it as a monitor, the response rate is slow. So that can be not great.

Return on Investment

  • It's quite an expensive product, but I think for what it does in terms of being able to connect and collaborate, it's invaluable in that respect.

Other Software Used

Microsoft Teams, Webex Meetings

Cisco Desk Series does the job well

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Cisco Desk Series devices for small shared office spaces, and also for doctors to remote dial in to regional hospitals. The far end camera control to enable the clinicians to zoom in to see patients injuries or conditions is extremely helpful in performing diagnosis, especially in parts of Australia where there are no doctors available locally in some remote places.

Pros

  • Large TelePresence Screen
  • Great camera
  • Ability for Far End Camera Control

Cons

  • HDMI port can only be used for display of shared content

Return on Investment

  • Reduce the need for travel for both doctors and patients
