Cisco Catalyst IE9300 Rugged Series Switches

The Cisco Catalyst IE9300 Rugged Series switches are compact 1RU rack-mount switches designed for industrial and extended enterprise applications requiring hardened, reliable connectivity. They provide 28 ports of Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, built to withstand harsh environments such as manufacturing, energy, transportation, mining, smart cities, and oil and gas. These switches support resiliency features including dual ring design, Resilient Ethernet Protocol (REP), Parallel Redundancy Protocol (PRP), PROFINET, Media Redundancy Protocol (MRP), and High Availability Seamless Redundancy (HSR). They offer true zero-touch replacement for remote failures, line-rate low-latency forwarding, and simplified software management.

Running Cisco IOS XE, the switches include built-in security features like Secure Boot, image signing, and the Cisco Trust Anchor module. They support API-driven configuration with open APIs and data models. Management is streamlined through Cisco Catalyst Center and a user-friendly WebUI. The platform supports Full Flexible NetFlow (FNF) for real-time traffic visibility and threat analysis, integrating with Cisco Cyber Vision and Cisco Secure Network Analytics.

The IE9300 Rugged Series delivers power and bandwidth with multigigabit ports and up to 24 ports of Power over Ethernet (PoE) supporting IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt standards, with a PoE power budget up to 720W on certain models. This enables connectivity for power-hungry devices like IP phones, PTZ cameras, and Wi-Fi 6 access points. The switches are fanless and convection-cooled for durability, hardened against vibration, shock, surge, and electrical noise, and comply with multiple industrial standards. They also support industrial automation protocols EtherNet/IP (CIP) and PROFINET, making them ideal for industrial Ethernet applications requiring secure, scalable, and resilient network infrastructure.
