We use Make to create low-code integrations for established processes and ad hoc scenarios. Our ERP system and e-commerce store are now linked to our task management platform, allowing for seamless integration of order dispatch and receiving. Every Sale and Purchase Order becomes a task on ClickUp, and updates to statuses are fed between systems.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Using Make in an agency capacity to help clients save or gain back time using automations. Make's interface is one of the better ones in the industry and overcomes the limitations of other, more well known SaaS in the industry. This makes it easier for my team to design a workflow out and visualize it. It's numerous integrations with tools that my clients use is a helpful addition.

Pros

  • Nice UI for visualizing workflows
  • Easy to understand billing (operations/time)
  • Thousands of built in integrations to work with

Cons

  • Better navigational capabilities from scenarios
  • Better use of AI or prompting for complex things like iterators/aggregators
  • A "test mode" so that you don't have a ton of runs that are invalid or to be able to populate dummy data without wasting unnecessary operations to create it.

Return on Investment

  • Without Make my business wouldn't exist or would take a whole new look
  • Make has allowed me to easily grow the business as well since most things are clone-able
  • I would like to see HIPAA compliance as a lot of my clients are in the healthcare sector

It is the perfect tool to interlace most of our API connections and different environments to sync them all together.

Make enables us to connect apps that miss native integration, have limited API solutions of its own, or which do not answer our business needs. Whatever we needed, we could create in Make and stay happy about the performance.

Pros

  • UI/UX Simplicity and Features
  • Workflows are explained in details and even people without IT background can use the tool.
  • Consumption is nicely tracked.
  • Myriad of existing templates, solutions, and readymade connectors.

Cons

  • Pricing and more plans
  • Lack of FAQs and Learning Pages
  • Some workflows had to be broken down into multiple

Return on Investment

  • We used too many credits multiple times and had to buy them additionally, there are no prevention systems to setup to alert before it happens.
  • Some consumption is difficult to understand and requires time and digging.
  • It requires heavy internal effort to simplify things in Make in order for it to operate cheaper.
  • Initial IT setup is paramount and determines a lot.
