I used Bullhorn ATS & CRM as a full CRM system whilst working for a recruitment firm. All jobs were posted and there against the client at various stages of the recruitment process and helped our team manage all jobs that were being recruited and at what stage they were at. It was also integrated with Xero to make invoicing our clients at each stage of the recruitment process simple and easy to do.
Pros
Xero Integration
Client History recording
Data Storage
Cons
Occasionally there would be technical problems with the platform but nothing major
Reporting capabilities were are bit limited
Likelihood to Recommend
I think it is very well suited platform for recruitment organisations as an effective management tool, especially when you have contracts for large recruitment offers - we would have large clients recruiting many roles at once and Bullhorn ATS & CRM made it easy to track and manage the process with all the roles were were recruiting for.

Used for Recruiting. A-Z process and client management
Pros
Customer support response
Cons
DON'T SELECT BULLHORN.
FMissing standard functionally such being able to sending an interview confirmation to a candidate or client. Names, titles & address are not pulled automatically. Custom work to set this up is charged at ridicilous $$$ hourly prices
When you want to depart you are ransomed thousands. At least $25k. Oh and $1 per attachement/CV.
Likelihood to Recommend
in my opinion, It looks good but it misses A LOT of functionality. They then want you to 'pay' to 'customise' read - add standard functionality - which ever recruitment software has. And btw you are actually only paying for some simple scripting anyone can understand. When you want to depart you are ransomed thousands. At least $25k. Oh and $1 per attachement/CV.
Bullhorn, has provided inaccurate details about applicant/s.
Applicant/s are not given proper relief, usually 30 days
to correct, inaccuracies gathered by and supplied by non-profits.
Non-profit/s, Clearinghouse data, wrong degree/s and dates
remember, the disclaimer, non-profit is not responsible for errors?
That's just the beginning of the errors, applicant/s are not given
the opportunity provide actual documents to correct the errors.
The errors delay hiring, the applicant is flushed, seeking a new
candidate. Applicant/s offer/s are revoked, $150-180k careers,
so who is going to step forward and correct the Bullhorn errors?
Pros
Well Bullhorn failed to provide portal access to correct errors gathered about applicants
Well Bullhorn is not properly mapped to other onboarding system/s
Well Bullhorn is fast, yet provides error/s gathered about applicants
Cons
Bullhorn is mapping to other systems is clunky, applicants complain, yet not fixed
Bullhorn portal fails to permit applicant/s ability to correct clearinghouse data errors gathered, so dirty data, is passed to the employer from a source not liable for errors.
E. College Clearinghouse - non-profit provides wrong degrees and date/s
discrepancies, dirty data is not corrected, and the applicate offer revoked...
Applicant/s are not provided the opportunity to show proof -actual degree & dates.
Dirty Data on applicant/s, needs to have a way to correct errors, upload the degree etc. when there are discrepancies...dirty data provided by non-profits, not liable for errors.. What if you child was turned down for a dream job, because of dirty data?
A single mom, just finished her degree or advancing for the next opportunity is declined because of dirty data about her degree which took her X# of yrs to complete?
Likelihood to Recommend
Applicant/s should be given access, to review dirty data, and provide a way to upload validation to correct dirty data gathered from clearinghouse and non-profits who are not liable for errors. Bullhorn is not liable either, yet reports dirty data gathered.
Applicant/s rights need to be first before a revocation of offer...
This is a non-recommendation, as a result of dirty data gathered impacting hiring decisions.

We are a staffing firm that utilizes Bullhorn ATS & CRM daily - it helps us keep track of all client, candidate, and prospective client interaction. It's super helpful when it comes to recruiting - it assists us in parsing resumes and keeping track of who we have in the system already. There are meticulous systems in place that help you track every bit of data you need.
Pros
It's very organized and easy to use
It tracks all email correspondence, so if you forget to jot a note down, it will be stored for you in the future
It helps keep of all your relevant documents in one place - no more rooting around for contracts
It helps in every sense in the staffing industry
Cons
I think more training tutors would be helpful
The back end of things (how to set up things on the admin side) could be improved
The cost - it's a great program but very costly
Likelihood to Recommend
If you are in the Staffing world, Bullhorn ATS & CRM is a must. We've tried other competitors and nothing compares. It's simple to use, has an easy interface, and makes organization so simplistic with very little room for error. Bullhorn ATS & CRM allows us to communicate internally with one another without having to pick up a phone, or send an email.
Bullhorn ATS & CRM was implemented to help track our practicum and co-op placements and engagement opportunities with industry members.
Pros
Integrated CRM and ATS solution
Email integration
Dashboard reporting
Cons
requires quite a bit of set up - not very out of the box friendly
parsing was slow and not very correct
relationships requires lots of maintenance and was often incorrect
Likelihood to Recommend
For smaller businesses that needs more than what the off-the-shelf ATS can offer and needs some CRM integration, Bullhorn ATS & CRM will work. There are better solutions but also cost more.
I am part of the mentorship program. We have recruiters assigned to the account that are using Bullhorn ATS & CRM. Bullhorn ATS & CRM is easy to use. There are some features that are not on JobDiva and eRecruit & Tempbuddy but it is with Bullhorn ATS & CRM. We can also pullout data to check their daily activities in that way we can check our recruiter's productivity just like their leads, dials, VMs, connects or even the status of the candidate they reached out to.
Pros
Data Analytics
Organized Tabs
User Friendly
Cons
Sometimes candidates resume are old
Pooling of candidates from Job Boards
Likelihood to Recommend
We used this when we are trying to pull candidate instead of using the monster and dice since it auto upload resumes from their. It is perfect if it will also upload the updated resume of the candidate. Some of the resumes on Monster is already updated but if we check Bullhorn ATS & CRM it still got the old resume.
In order to avoid confusion, Bull Horn helps us keep track of all the positions that are received from various direct clients, the number of submissions made by various team members and recruiters, and the status updates of the candidates like offers and interviews, etc. In order to learn more about the candidate's application status and make the appropriate moves, they can examine notes entered into Bull Horn.
Pros
Tracking of Candidate's application.
Submission/ Interview/ Start Reports.
Real Time Search and Sourcing Tool.
Cons
It is more complex if we compare to the other ATS like CB and Job Diva.
UI could be more better.
It is very slow to work on.
Likelihood to Recommend
Bullhorn served as a very reliable and thorough tracking system for contacts, discovering prospects, and maintaining track of all relevant data. There are many customization options, strong search results, and sensible workflows. Excellent reporting tool. When we needed to find new resumes but all we could find were talents who had previously been discovered, it was less appropriate. Job Boards outperformed Bull Horn in terms of speed and quality.
I was recently migrated (April '22) from Sendouts ATS (15 years) to Bullhorn ATS. I find the Bullhorn product to be far inferior to the much older Sendouts product. So many ridiculous functionality issues. Search radius for candidates maxed out at 100 miles. I recruit nationally. Sendouts' search radius was 500 miles. Getting logged off the system if actions are not taken within an arbitrary time period. My personal notations on candidates require me to click several tabs to read. While scrolling through a candidate list on Sendouts I was able to clearly read my notations on the candidate's homepage. In entering search strings having to double click on skills to have them populate is a joke. The email functionality makes AOL look state-of-the-art. I could go on and on. Does anyone know of an ATS provider that can migrate me out of Bullhorn. I may be in a pickle regardless based upon a time commitment I made for the product. I just figured that if Bullhorn was the "newer, more robust survivor and acquirer" they'd have a better mouse trap. I couldn't have been more wrong. Last but not least - haven't been able to figure out the integration with LinkedIn! Sincerely, Frustrated in NY.
Pros
Their tech support personnel are sympathetic and reasonably informed on the phone.
They migrated me for free - but you know what you get for free.
Their logo makes sense.
Cons
Search radius of 100 miles is absurdly small.
Email functionality is archaic.
Establishing search strings requires double-clicking into fields.
Likelihood to Recommend
The product is clunky at best and downright useless if needed for true applicant tracking and communications.
I really love Bullhorn. It’s a great platform to manage candidates, clients, and job reqs in a place that’s easy for everyone to access. It integrates seamlessly with other platforms and is super user friendly. I recently started understanding the reporting/ analytics side and that’s been very helpful to get a window into the status of my performance and that of my company. I really recommend Bullhorn for anyone who is on the market for a new ATS platform.
Pros
Candidate management.
Integration with other tools (i.e. Dice, CareerBuilder, CloudCall, etc.).
Reporting.
Notes and notifications.
Cons
It always takes 2 tries to login.
Easier ways to edit notes without admin access.
Likelihood to Recommend
I really like having Bullhorn to look back on my notes with my candidates. The best part of using BH versus another note take platform is that when I’m out of the office, one of my colleagues can pickup where I left off and ensure the candidate experience is consistent.
Bullhorn is our ATS/CRM. We use it for all our Recruiting and Business development tracking and management.
Pros
Integration with email
Manages submissions and the placement life cycle well
Easy to use
Cons
Worst Customer/Technical Service Support I've ever encountered
They nickel and dime you for every little issue
They blame the customer for issues and then deliberately move slowly to fix problems they created.
Terrible communication
They will overbill you and try to get away with it unless you catch them red handed.
Likelihood to Recommend
The product is fine, it is the company employees and how management enables these entitled individuals to mistreat their customers. They will blame the customer for technical issues every time. They hate to take responsibility. They force the customer to be proactive to get any issue solved. They will admonish the customer when they get upset over Bullhorn's incompetency.
