What is Avast Business Hub?

The Avast Business Hub is a remote management and security platform for MSPs, a multi-tenant, cloud-based platform that allows MSPs and IT Service Providers to deliver layered security services to customers, protecting all aspects of their networks. It provides a threat monitoring dashboard, where users can configure notifications based on specific device actions and monitor from a centralized dashboard for full transparency into individual device issues as well as threats that might be spreading among connected devices.

From there, users can deploy, configure, and maintain a range of security services to protect customers’ data, endpoints, applications, and networks from cyberthreats. And its integrated remote access and support tool can be used to securely connect to any device with the Avast agent installed on it. The user can remotely troubleshoot issues, perform tasks, reboot computers, transfer files, and chat with users.

Avast Business Hub is also used to scan customers' IT environments to discover all devices connected to their network and remotely deploy security services to unprotected workstations and servers.

Features Include:

Dashboard - Displays all alerts at a glance, address issues, and offers insight to support informed security decisions. Allows adding services.

Reporting - Activity reports that include information on devices, antivirus threats, patch management, cloud backup, billing, and subscriptions.

Device and policy management - The Business Hub agent is used to manage policy changes, and agent-controlled devices automatically configure themselves in real time, requiring less maintenance and making it easier to scale business operations.

Alerts & Notifications - Can send configurable alerts for important issues that need attention, and sends email notifications to affected parties, improving reaction time and limiting exposure.

Update Agent - A device is selected as the Local Update Server, where all updates can be downloaded. Saves bandwidth by scheduling and distributing updates to all endpoints in a network when it’s convenient.

Real-time Commands - Applies commands across devices like scans, and restarts. Commands can be run automatically based on policy settings.

Remote access & support - Connects to users' devices to access files, manage applications, and troubleshoot issues in real-time.

Network discovery - Discovers all devices connected to the customer’s network and remotely deploy security services to unprotected workstations and servers.

USB Protection - Prevents employees from using unauthorized removable storage devices including flash drives, external drives, memory cards, etc. Block, control, and monitor USB ports to stop data theft and malware infections.
