Auth0 - SSO breeze .

Rating: 9 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are using Auth0 for 7 years now, looking for a provider to replace our internal login implementation one that keep up with SAML implementations and later on OIDC implementations. This helped our goal of separating authentication from the main platform and forget about security standards updates to keep up with.

Pros

 • SAML, Social and OIDC connections
 • Universal login
 • Availability and Reliability.
 • Security threats, throttling per user and IP

Cons

 • User metadata with multiple identities is a mess - first connection set the user attributes while others are set within the identities arrary.
 • The UI does not keep your filter and you always need to write it again.

Likelihood to Recommend

I don't think there is a use case its not appropriate, it can be used by small mobile app to a huge platform like ours , with proper design for scale and quota considerations, I don't see where it can't fit.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

we implemented Auth0, the experience has been excellent. It allowed us to centralize and protect access to our applications in a easiest way. We no longer had to worry about building & maintaining custom login systems that may fail or become outdated. The support has been agile and every time we have had doubts, the answers have been clear and useful. The best thing is the peace of mind

Pros

 • Intuitive Dashboard
 • Flexibility to adapt business needs
 • Easier to deploy & use for Complex situations - Authentication

Cons

 • Session Management
 • Login information
 • New Universal Login is backward than classical view

Likelihood to Recommend

Auth0 integrates with almost all the popular authentication services like Google, Facebook, and GitHub. It also worked great when I used a simple email & password with 2FA.

While it is easier to implement a basic feature like email & password, when integrating with third-party services the SDKs were challenging as they lacked detailed documentation.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It's used by the Information Technology department, the front-end, back-end, full-stack, and all other developers and Application Programming Interface partners. Auth0 helps with the security in authorizations for logins, and in compliance with Brazil's legislation for the safety of users' data. It also authenticates and minimizes risks cheaper than building your own solution.

Why to setup authentication as Auth0

Rating: 7 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Basically, previously, we are using Google Firebase for auth and Red Hat LDAP serve. Due to the high resources and private cloud, it's hesitant to configure and make all things work together. After we changed to Auth0, it's was easy to just connect and done. One year back, I have also implemented it in an organization for their user auth services and really to say it worked well.

Pros

 • Fully coded auth service.
 • Just API-connection.
 • Easily deployable and low pricing.

Cons

 • Sometimes it's buggy on the frontend.
 • Uses an AD.
 • GIT Pill secure auth

Likelihood to Recommend

We can use it as an alternative to all other products like Firebase Auth. Why? Auth0 has its specialty for authentication and is most focused on it so bugs will be reduced by 90% compared to others.

Low pricing point

Easy to connect

Simple UI AND UX

Have logs and records like AD

After carefully reviewing the product offerings of several vendors about 4 years ago, we picked Auth0 to be the Identity provider for all of ConstructConnect products. We are extremely pleased with our decision. Our developers and architects found it really easy to integrate our applications and services with Auth0. Our business leaders and customers are happy with the overall reliability of the service. What's more, they have continued to add important enhancements to their feature set (e.g., Adaptive MFA). Their support team is best in class and always available to answer questions and allay any concerns promptly.

Pros

 • Easy to integrate
 • Documentation
 • Reliable
 • API first approach

Cons

 • Usability of Adaptive MFA features (Self-service)
 • Disaster Data Recovery support (Not available)

Likelihood to Recommend

Easy to integrate. Highly reliable.
