Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Individuals and specific departments utilize Asana to track both individual and group tasks and projects. We haven't used it beyond basic task management. We also use the free version, so we don't have access to their full range of tools. Overall, it has served us well and is easy to use.

Pros

Allows group collaboration.
Ease of creating tasks from email.
Recurring task creation and management.

Cons

More robust recurrence options, ie, the last Monday of each month (rather than only the 4th Monday of each month).
Ability to see subtasks in "my tasks" view.

We use Asana to manage projects and streamline workflows. It really is to assign ownership and keep a streamlined flow of communication. As a manager, Asana makes my life really easier, and I hope it keeps growing. It took just a few days to get comfortable with this software. It is really intuitive.

I like Asana’s user-friendly interface and seamless integration with other tools like Slack and Outlook.One unique feature is how it handles portfolios, projects, tasks, and subtasks. This is achieved through its graphical presentation and multihoming capabilities, which is particularly useful for large teams. If you’re coming from an Excel spreadsheet background, this feature will be a game-changer.We use Asana for various purposes, including work planning, vendor management, and general project management.I took a deep dive into the software about a year ago and recently became an Asana ambassador!

I utilized Asana while working as a Sales Content Specialist for Google Sales Hub. Asana was perfect for organizing workflows and tasks across the national team as it allowed us to sync on workflows and tasks without moving our schedules or sacrificing individuals early mornings or late evenings. Additionally, the different boards and access settings makes it the perfect platform when designing new workflow models.

Cons

The price of Asana is by individuals, so it can get a little pricey. If they had bundle for their pricing that would work a whole lot better.
There is a little learning curve with Asana, since it allows you so much customization, but the platform does a good job of supplying resources and FAQs to help you.

Return on Investment

We were able to fine tune workflows and responsibilities much better than before. With workflow automation, individuals new exactly what was assigned to them and the due date along with all pertinent information.
Additionally, with Google's constant shift in teams, Asana makes it easier for individuals to learn workflows ensuring that onboarding team members went smoothly.
