A robust tool for cross-channel marketing

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I am working as a marketing automations specialist at my current organization. I use Airship as a CRM to send communications to the entire user base of our brand. This includes emails, push notifications, and in-app notifications. I also execute and manage different sequences and journeys according the customer lifecyle. Apart from that, I also work on the in-built performance analysis dashboards to collect and analyse KPIs of different campaigns we're running. So, overall, I have been working on almost all the crucial features Airship is offering and making them to my best use.

Pros

  • Efficiently handling the communication delivery for a huge number of customer base.
  • The performance analytics dashboard offers information about each part within the campaign that we want to analyse.
  • Customer support response is good.

Cons

  • Dashboard is robust but very complex to use. It can be made easy.
  • More features should be added when designing templates for emails or landing pages.

It is a powerful tool with many use cases, I've only used the tip of the iceberg with so much more to explore. It has helped to improve the perception of the products too. I could easily send out a last-minute message if needed as it's fairly easy and quick to set up.

Pros

  • Airship has a very user-friendly interface with detailed documentation for self-help. I also enjoy the training sessions, articles and reports Airship organized as those are very insightful and useful.
  • Setting up the target audience within Airship using attributes is one of my favorites.

Cons

  • I struggle with the use of performance analytics.
  • No doubt it has tons of useful information, but this requires more time to understand and explore to fully utilize it.

Return on Investment

  • It is easy to use, especially for our older population and suits the younger population just fine.

With it, I work with different teams to send out a lot of push emails, inbox messages and in-app messages. I found the setup process relatively easy and it was pretty quick, so if ever I needed to send a message at the last minute, I was able to do that with some ease. One of the nicest things to do was set up a target audience in Airship using traits. The data team helped me to set this up and to load regularly a data set into the Airship system.

  • The team provides assistance but some options are hidden.
  • A/B tests cannot directly compare the effectiveness of pushes.
  • Ensuring even distribution of Pushes is challenging due to limited time or Airship's handling.

Versatile platform for basic mobile apps building

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are a product company and for research work or testing purposes, we build dummy mobile app experiences as an MVP. For that, we need no code mobile app creation tool and Airship helps best in such scenarios. We do create basic pages, and workflows and add trigger-based notifications. We can also do A/B testing of our content and flows.

Once the app is ready, we can track usage details and make changes on the go. No need for developers and no one needs to update existing apps. This helps us to do iterations of MVP. Once we are good to go with our findings from MVP, we do app development inhouse.

Pros

Cons

  • AI for content creation can reduce a lot of our efforts
  • Ready to use templates for web pages are very low (just 3 options currently). Can have more prebuilt templates

Airship deploys our app channel campaigns for users with the My Account" app installed. They also optimize this channel and have omnichannel integration abilities.
