In my experience, ActiveCampaign is not the 'best' solution. There are areas where other platforms perform. However, the performance improvements are in areas that are less valuable, but the cost to get those improvements is very high. Put differently, ActiveCampaign is a solid A-, at a great price with fantastic customer support. You can opt for an A+, but the additional cost to get there simply isn't worth it. ActiveCampaign is going to get the job done at an incredibly fair price. Additionally, they provide a level of HIPAA compliance that is critical if you are in Healthcare.
I've been using ActiveCampaign with all my clients for over 5 years. It's really user friendly, they have a great customer service, and the have the best automations system. It's been a great tool to set up automations on so many different triggers, and through workflows, which tend to be more limited or difficult on other platforms.
Pros
Customer Service
Automations
Workflows
Integrations
User friendly
Cons
The attribution feature

This is best for companies that need to set up automations and thorough email/sms workflows. I wouldn't recommend for small companies getting started
We use ActiveCampaign to track the progress of deals through our sales funnel. We also share emails with relevant and helpful educational content with our customers and prospects. We also send personalized emails through ActiveCampaign as well. It is a great tool that allows us to keep ourselves in front of our customers.
Pros
Great Metrics.
Intuitive Interface.
Easy Contact Management.
Cons
Once you send an email there is no way to review the content of it without copying it. So if I wanted to share an email that has been sent already with my team I have to duplicate it within the email builder.

ActiveCampaign suits as well as the pipeline tracking works well with our sales funnel process and allows us to feature our video content directly in the emailers. It was super easy to bring over our data from our old CRM and editing contacts in bulk is seamless.
We use ActiveCampaign for keeping customers up to date about new products/brands and monthly newsletters. Also we organize our opt-in lead campaigns through ActiveCampaign.
Pros
Useful e-mail templates.
Clear academy where we can find detailed videos'/trainings on how to set up emails campaigns, websites and drip campaigns for instance.
Various options to edit the email templates to our own branding.
Easy to upload & update contacts.
Easy to integrate with other apps like Salesforce and WooCommerce.
Cons
So far there is no possibility to refresh the nr of people that viewed a landing page, this is a pity since we often view the page ourselves during the launch to see if everything works live. These numbers however are no longer accurate in that way.

Useful and easy program to manage your contacts and set up e-mail automations to onboard new clients. Besides, it is easy to plan ahead and schedule email campaigns such as monthly newsletters. All content is easily traceable so a good analysis can be made of which campaigns perform better than others (& potentially why).
At my company, we are always looking for easier and faster ways to get our message in front of the right audience, at the right time. Active Campaign makes that really easy for us! Right now we have over 18,000 people on our email list, and we send out about 3-5 emails per week. 1 of which is always completely automated. Without Active Campaign, our sales would be HALF of what they are.
Pros
Automations
Inbox Delivery
Quick Broadcasts
Cons
Complexity
Overwhelming onboarding
Editing functionaility within the email editor

I suggest anyone who wants to send emails to use Active Campaign - especially for coaches & entrepreneurs who need to be consistent with their marketing and branding efforts. And especially for any company or organization that prioritizes sales.
The main goal for our company is to increase our customer base. We use ActiveCampaign mainly to create email campaigns to introduce current customers to new products and warm leads to our company's portfolio. The great thing about ActiveCampaign is that it is very easy to track how many people opened the mailings, replied, and clicked on links. Also, it is very easy to perform an A/B test on each campaign. Besides, ActiveCampaign makes it easy to generate a good-looking email and landing page by providing various templates. One of the things that could however be improved is the integration with Salesforce. Currently, we are able to sync contacts between the two platforms but only to a limited extent. It would be great to be able to track SF emails with the same metrics we have for AC. Besides, it would be helpful if when we delete contacts in AC, they are deleted in SF automatically as well.
Pros
ActiveCampaign provides various templates to create a professional-looking email
ActiveCampaign makes it easy to create your own landing page
Clear overview of metrics for each email campaign
Deal overview gives a good impression of the sales funnels
Cons
Integration with Salesforce > automatically delete contacts in SF if they get deleted in AC
Offer an opportunity to resize images
Increase the "delete contacts limit" so that the contact list can be adjusted at all times

ActiveCampaign is perfect for creating email automations to inform current customers and track how many people open the emails and click links. However, ActiveCampaign is not appropriate to generate more leads or contact businesses from a database since contacts need to be opted-in before you can send an email through ActiveCampaign.
We use ActiveCampaign for our online marketing automation for both client-side and customer-side funnels. ActiveCampaign integrates wonderfully with our eCommerce platform of choice and makes setting up advanced logic and custom flows super fast and easy without having to code hooks from the API.
Pros
Marketing Automation
Email Designer
Customer Support & Feedback
Cons
Ecommerce Logic and Dynamic Content
Integration with fulfillment platforms
Contact bot filtering & form builder

ActiveCampaign is awesome in complex automation scenarios. It delivers tools that competitors like Mailchimp and Hubspot cannot match with its integrations with eCommerce. ActiveCampaign is less appropriate for making signup forms due to its lack of support for invisible ReCaptcha v3 meaning each form needs to include the big ReCaptcha box unless you integrate it site-side.
We switched from another platform a few years ago and mainly use ActiveCampaign for our email marketing. Since then, it has streamlined our efforts and we've seen a positive impact from our community. Because it's so user-friendly and easy to understand, our email marketing has improved greatly and allowed us to automate a ton of communication.
Pros
Customizable Templates.
Easy to Understand Automations.
Segmentation for Targeted Marketing.
Cons
CRM is slightly confusing to understand.
Integrations can be hard to connect at times.
Every once in a while certain automation won't trigger correctly and it's hard to figure out why.
Likelihood to Recommend
ActiveCampaign is a great platform if you're looking for user-friendly, easily customizable email marketing. They also have a really great customer service team that will help you with whatever questions or issues you may run into. I've had awesome customer service reps help me any time I need assistance and they are always quick and efficient with their solutions.
We need an automated way to reach out to customers and potential customers in their inboxes. Sharing valuable information about why our company can help and why they should talk to us. We've looked at many email marketing providers and ActiveCampaign is robust enough to handle the integrations and automatons we need at a price that is competitively affordable.
Pros
Email Automation
Email Template Drag and Drop Builder
Segmenting Email Lists
Cons
Attaching specific lists to automation campaigns
Their drag and drop email template builder is limited. Need to know CSS to make the emails really shine
Phone Support would be valuable occasionally

We've looked at many email marketing providers and ActiveCampaign is robust enough to handle the integrations and automatons we need at a price that is competitively affordable. they do a great job with their customer support chat as well to give you the tools you need to implement the email campaigns and automations you're after in a relatively easy amount of time.
We are utilizing ActiveCampaign for our Sales, Marketing, and Support department. It is essential for us in keeping all of our leads organized in a central database to be used between multiple members in our departments.
Pros
Easy to use the Automation feature
Great for Mass Email Blast
Super Versatile with integrating Lead Capture from multiple websites such as Wistia, Vimeo, etc.
Cons
Could have a better dashboard for sales
Content manager could have a better folder structure
A direct link to access a dashboard that could be customized for reports could be useful

We are utilizing it for Sales, Support, and Marketing. Although this is more of a marketing platform it is still powerful with all the features it contains and at a great price. Because it is not really a Zendesk type platform it lacks some of the support features, but nothing that is a deal-breaker.
