We're using ActiveCampaing as an email automation service for our office. I'm the sole user of our business and I'm responsible for both content creation and marketing automation.
Our need was to keep in touch with our email subscribers and to try and close more sales. ActiveCampaign is really helping us to do this, without needing too much maintenance.

ActiveCampaign is great for small businesses that want to keep in touch with their email subscribers. It is low-cost and low-maintenance and any person that is used to WYSIWYG tools will get no hard time to write and publish email campaigns and automation. For me, it is the best tool to nurture your leads and to not "leave money on the table" just by keeping in touch.
We've been using ActiveCampaign going on two years. I first set up ActiveCampaign as an email marketing program to send out emails as needed, then set up email sequencing for lead magnets. Now we use the CRM side of ActiveCampaign with automations set up for leads and it is a huge component of our onboarding process for new clients.
I currently have my sales department using ActiveCampaign. We have outgrown our previous client management program and have since moved over our lead pipeline and workflow automations to ActiveCampaign and it's worked out very well.

It felt more overwhelming to jump into and get started than other email marketing programs.
I was offered a free quick consultation that goes over basic functionalities but only after a year passed -- it would have been helpful earlier into purchasing my plan originally.

This is an incredible program if you're needing advanced segmentation while building your email list from different avenues.
The CRM portion is great -- building a lead pipeline that attaches to email automation makes follow-ups, tasks, and information regarding touchpoints.
Tracking activity is even easier.
The email sequencing has such an array of functionalities, creating new pathways from client actions, existing tags, completed sequences, and more. And the email template buildouts are user-friendly and clean.
