Phenom TXM provides an easy-to-use, well-flowing landing page to front our ATS (SmartRecruiters). It integrates well with SR and enables potential candidates to view our open roles across multiple locations, job types, and skill levels. It allows them to sign up to receive notifications based on their preferred criteria, and they can also save job listings they're interested in. Once set up, ideally, it works well. Any edits required are slow and costly - engaging with representatives from Phenom and resolving queries is time-consuming and usually requires multiple follow-ups. Because Phenom centrally controls the site, we're unable to make even small edits quickly.

SmashFly is a great tool for collecting data on candidates. It saves a tremendous amount of time with its ability to automate email campaigns. I would recommend handling the integration work on your company side so you can set-up alerts if a file fails or sftp passwords change.

Usability
Candidate usability is fairly straightforward and the platform is easy to engage with. There are multiple ways to search and filter roles, including status, location (including city/individual location, as well as DC/Store/Head Office, etc.), role type, and department. Usability from a website management perspective is lacking due to the centrality of control over the content.

I believe SmashFly does a great job supporting their system and staying involved with their clients. Everything in the system is basically a workflow so you can create them or reachout to support for help

Alternatives Considered
When comparing Phenom Talent Experience Management to Avature CRM: Avature aims very high, and sometimes gets lost in its own grandness. Phenom Talent Experience Management tends to be more user-friendly and accessible, with some more down to Earth features and functionalities. On the other hand, Avature allows for managing candidates in bulk, which is not an option for Phenom Talent Experience Management. When comparing Phenom Talent Experience Management to SmartRecruiters: the choice for Phenom Talent Experience Management was made once the decision had been made on investing on EB campaigns and building a talent community, as Phenom Talent Experience Management's capabilities are much better and broader.

It was like night and day. Success Factors had horrible customer service and we had very limited control over the platform. When we transitioned to SmashFly, their customer service was excellent and we had complete control over the system to make any changes we needed quickly. The technical support with SmashFly is also one of the best I've seen in the business. Their turnaround time is pretty quick when compared to others

  • From what I've heard, recruiters have noticed a big upswing in candidate response rate, which of course, leads to increased rates of hire.
  • Some recruiters are reluctant to use smashfly because they think they're doing double effort.
