Jane vs. CareLogic EHR

Jane.app could be used for clinics with a single practitioner, or many. It is very easy to navigate, and requires minimal time to learn it's features. I really love this scheduling app over others specifically for me because I offer various modalities (massage therapy, personal training & reflexology) and there are forms for every modality (intake forms and charting forms), that enables me to customize for whichever modality I am using with a client. This is where I see Jane.app as a superior scheduling app for practitioners offering a variety of services. I also love how easy it is to integrate multiple clinics into one scheduling app. I run 2 clinics, and can have a schedule for each, with a simple click of a button. I can't think of a practitioner that wouldn't benefit from this app. I am not sure how cost compares amongst apps, but I find the basic version to be quite cost efficient, with even more features than I have even dabbled in yet

Carelogic EHR, by Qualifacts is the second scheduling software my company has used, and so long as there are no unfortunate changes it will be our last. It is user friendly, meaning that it is easy to train employees in, and is well organized. The simple interface takes out much of the guess work.

• Jane.app has a wide variety of forms that you can view, edit and use for your clinic, which has been a huge time saver for me (I operate multiple modalities and require different forms for each)
• Jane.app is incredibly simple for scheduling - from implementing your regular schedule, booking appointments, changing appointments, and booking time off. It's a very small learning curve and very seamless to utilize
• Jane.app has a ton of reports that are vey useful in understanding what's working and what isn't in my clinic. From accounts receivable, to new clients booked, to client retention, the reports offer valuable information (from multiple avenues) that guide my decisions efficiently toward growth

• Schedule based- the schedule is easy to use.
• Documentation tied to appointment- no question regarding what to complete when a client comes in.
• Prescription software integration with PDMP- no need to check state sites.

• When charting, I would love to be able to edit a chart afterward, without having to use an amendment.
• I would like to be able to edit health history forms after I have signed off of them. Sometimes the client has discussed health issues during treatments that were not included on their HH, and I can't go back and just add on to form
• This is really minor, but when I click on "clients," I would like to see the number of clients I have, instead of having to go right into reports

• It is difficult to obtain information from CareLogic for use in customized reports if the user is not familiar with building reports in Pentaho.
• Rather than having the capability to transmit electronic prescriptions on its own, CareLogic relies on an external program to do so. Prescribers must exit out of the document they are in so that they can access the external electronic prescription system. This system has an additional cost. It would be nice if it could be an all in one system.
• While the company is usually eager to respond to customer needs, something always seems to be broken or need updating in regards to functionality. This may be a function of our agency's location and the unusual needs we have due to our state mandates, but it is tiring to always have to worry about a workaround.

The rating of "3" represents CareLogic's quick loading of pages, however, the reports are super slow and there is no progress bar or notification to let you know if a report is running or not. I've let a report run for an hour before only to find out that the interface never registered my click to run the report.

The customer support at Qualifacts is great. When you have an issue you can submit a ticket to support and they're on top of getting things straightened out and always available by phone as well. The struggle with the overall support is it doesn't seem like the needs of the users are heard. When you ask for what should be a simple fix or something that seems the system is missing, it gets labeled an Enhancement Request which is where requests go to pasture.

I like ClinicSense, but I mostly chose Jane because it allows me to easily integrate my other modalities into one scheduling app. ClinicSense felt geared more toward massage therapy speficially, where Jane as flexibility to add in now, and in the future

CareLogic is more a affordable that other competitors. CareLogic takes less time to understand and incorporate. I would say that it has its limitations and is not as intuitive. There is a lot of clicking back and forth between functions and can be annoying. There is also sometimes loss of data. If something goes wrong in the program there is no backup- this may be something that can be added, but my company has chosen not to

• Jane.app has allowed me to see reports on client retention, which prompts me to reach out to clients who haven't booked in awhile, increasing retention rate and customer satisfaction
• Jane.app has saved me a ton of time, but having reports readily accessible, meaning I am not taking the time to go through my data and creating my own reports
• Jane.app's reports provide me immediate feedback on number of appointments booked and new clients, which allows me to quickly and easily direct my focus on what is needed most - whether that's reaching out to current clients, or marketing to gain new clients, to coming up with a marketing plan to increase appointments booked. No time is wasted on actions that aren't important to my bottom line (which wasn't really clear to me before I had Jane and access to these reports)

• No more paper records.
• Prescriptions never get lost.
• Staff have many complaints about work flow.
• New hire training has to be ongoing- it's hard to learn.
