This platform is probably more suited for small to mid-size companies that may not have super specific roles and requirements. Organizations also that may not have a large budget for these types of programs also could be a good fit as it does offer some value, but probably falls behind in the cutting edge and super competitive landscape for platforms or organizations. It's probably less appropriate for large companies or places that are investing in current and cutting edge technology or products.

Managing pipeline and candidate communication is easy through lever. Keeping it all in one place allows the hiring teams to be in the loop real-time. The reporting is clunky and basic, however, and without a 3rd party tool, sourcing from the lever database is difficult. Also, it is very easy to have duplicate candidates since the alerts Lever gives are often incorrect

Pros
  • Flexibility to be creative, i.e. can do both boolean searches as well as use intelligence searches.
  • Posting jobs is easy to do and manage.
  • Customer support is at a very high level, with a personal touch, (this is very rare and very much appreciated)!

  • Great integration: Keeps a list of Outlook email communication along with LinkedIn and other data sources
  • Is fairly lively, not too much lag between screens even though it is looking through a lot of data.
  • Has excellent reporting on how well each email message is working.

Cons
  • The recent update is not highlighting most of the keywords which is really annoying.
  • I feel the UI should be more improved.
  • Sometimes we see lots of resumes with lots of manipulated details and fake experience to get the attention.
  • Sometimes most of the resumes don’t have contact details and it's difficult to get in touch with candidates.

  • It would be nice if we were provided a more detailed summary of why our referrals were not selected for a position.
  • The feedback feature that interviewers can give on candidates is great, but it is sometimes hard to find again after completion.
  • If there is a mobile version, better marketing/awareness on this would be helpful.

I'm assuming we will keep using DICE, but Indeed and LinkedIn are starting to prove their value and strength in having candidates/consultants use their services to look for new opportunities.

Usability
Its already I mentioned it is used to search the resumes of relevant profile upon the request of clients requirement. comfortable with filters to validate the profile before the resumes open. Can be able to locate the profile which the recruiter is willing to work on the requirement. Little more costly when compared to other job portals.

It isn't difficult to use for the applicant processing, but [I feel] if you want to pull reports or use their tools, good luck!

Support Rating
Dice provides ease of sourcing candidates and is the most useful in staffing industry. However, we still recommend the team to provide older version access to the user which was much easier and flexible to use. Dice posting is the best feature in Dice. The Boolean Search feature in Dice is also very useful.

What support? - Add a ticket and get links to [I believe] their unhelpful user guide. Add a charge if you want better support - afterward just got those links faster...

Alternatives Considered
what works well for Dice Open Web is that it can be used internally within a company very well. the groups of jobs with same skill sets across teams can be well displayed on the web and thus candidates can apply to multiple jobs in one go. ability to customize email templates, set alerts and notifications are really 3-5 steps processes. Candidates can also track their own progress once their process starts for filling an opening in a group.

I think Lever stacks up fairly well and is right above the midpoint. iCIMS and Greenhouse provide a larger, more Enterprise style product for huge scale, so I'd put the two of them above Lever at this time, but we chose Lever over Greenhouse for a reason. I just don't know if we'd be able to scale to the size we'd want to long-term with their product suite. Compared to the others listed here, and many others, I would take Lever every time.

Return on Investment
  • Utilized a great deal of my hiring budget without producing any applicants.
  • Used a large amount of my time with no payoff.
  • Frustration with signing a contract and after payment did not receive any assistance with the traction of my job posts.

  • We have an ATS now and did not have one before
  • LinkedIn integration is better than others I've seen
  • Spend too much time researching unhelpful user guides since their support is terrible
  • Lots of frustration with post implementation support
  • Integrations break, tools don't work and settings fail which could lead to other issues
