It worked very well for payroll and HR, less so for recruiting. Recruiters reported that they were only able to contact 30-50 candidates with one email, compared to 100-500+ with other systems. The payroll and recruiting databases did not communicate well with one another, resulting in a lot of extra steps to convey the appropriate info.

I wasn't directly involved in the purchase of Bullhorn, but I know that when I first started on the recruiting team we were trying to run things through Asana and Copper. Asana and Copper were not exactly purpose-built for recruiting and therefore weren't the most efficient tools for us to be using. Bullhorn certainly introduced a level of efficiency that made my job a lot easier.
