Overall Satisfaction with Zoom Workplace

We use Zoom Workplace mainly to connect with our internal teammates and external clients, architects and subcontractors in support of construction projects. This applies to financial review meetings, weekly construction status meetings, training, interviewing and other HR functions. We love that we can in moments set up a remote meeting, making us accessible to our clients and supply chain at any time.

Pros

  • Easy screen sharing
  • AI reports following meetings are pretty accurate
  • Easy to share with others as alternate hosts

Cons

  • The AI summaries are pretty good, but of course still need a little bit of work
  • When you call in on the phone, it gives you such a short time to enter your meeting info before hanging up
  • I can't think of anything else, it really is pretty dummy-proof
  • It has made us so much more flexible in responding to client needs
  • It saves travel time and money for teammates attending meetings
  • It provide recordings of meetings to clear up any miscommunications
Zoom Workplace is way less clunky than Teams. We find that our vendors run into way more technical issues and difficulty logging into meetings with Teams. I find that I have to double unmute when I call into meetings on my phone, while having it on screen as well. Zoom is dummy proof.

We find it to be exceptional for our needs in construction--getting people in a "room" together to review projects statuses, review financials, troubleshoot any technical issues via screen sharing, deal with HR items like interviewing, etc. It's really secure, but does provide us with a copy of the meeting in case we need to reference anything later. I haven't used any screen collaboration tools, so I'm not sure how well those work, and may not be a great fit for any field super techncial.
