Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I am pleased that I am able to back up my entire virtual infrastructure locally, to the cloud and to a remote data center easily and without the need for "a backup person" on the team that has to check them every day. It is easy and consistent.

I had to compromise with a SQL server with Always-on DAG, was not easy to work with this and have application integrated backups.

Positive - Now FTE for backups
Positive - Set and forget configuration
Positive - Entry level techs can restore

Alternatives Considered

Dell Networker, Dell Avamar and Unitrends

Baracuda as well, all too complex and none as consistent.

Likelihood to Recommend

I would recommend without hesitation for anyone running VMWare unless they said that they had a very small budget. I guess if you can afford VMWare now days you can also afford Veeam Data Platform. It just used to be the "expensive" solution.
