Pleasant transition from a cludgy agent only Data Protection solution to Veeam Data Platform

Data protection is not one of the sexy workloads in the environment that has a ROI contributing to the bottom line but if you don't have it and something catastrophic happens the cost is devastating.

We transitioned from a proprietary Unitrends appliance requiring unstable agents for all backups and an unintuitive interface that was difficult to troubleshoot often requiring a support call to resolve issues . Veeam Data Platform is stable, largely intuitive, allows non-proprietary inexpensive backup targets, and I have yet to need to make a support call to resolve any issues.
