Veeam Backup & Replication

Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Data Platform

Veeam is our backup software. We also use it to replicate data across data centers. It integrates well with VMware to take snapshots. The restore process is straightforward and quick.

Pros

  • Backup of data.
  • Restore of data.
  • Replication of data.

Cons

  • Snapshots get orphaned if the backup job has an issue.
  • Integrate a way to air-gap servers better.
  • Allow us to change warning thresholds.
  • Peace of mind.
  • Secure backup.
Veeam is the clear winner in terms of ease of use. I can point it at almost any storage hardware, which is a huge win and cost saver.
