Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup & Replication

I have used Veeam Backup and Replication solutions in multiple SAP on cloud solutions on AWS AZURE and GCP. It can integrate natively and backup on S3 or blob storage very efficiently. It has inbuilt data deduplication and compression features that optimize the storage usage. It has nice catalog features for backup and restore purposes.

  • It integrates well with SAP and HANA backups.
  • Efficient compression.
  • Good catalogue features.

Cons

  • Reporting can improve.
  • Documentation can improve.
  • Better UX.

  • We don't need full time backup operator.
  • Very easy for restoration and create QA and sandbox systems.
  • Good for DR purpose.
Good catalog features. It has deduplication and compression features that optimize the storage use. Very easy setup and natively integrates with Hyperscaler like AWS AZURE and Google cloud platform. It integrates well with SAP HANA db for backup and restoration. Its replication features are very easy to use. It is highly scalable for multiple workloads on cloud and on-premise.
