Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Data Platform
We use Veeam in our IT department to backup critical data, entire virtual machine infrastructure and some windows server / file server with Veeam agent. With Veeam we are able to backup on tape library for a safer backup.
Pros
- Backup easily but exhaustively of virtual infrastructure
- Replica of vm to another host
- Backup on tape
- Backup to usb disk with offline/online disk rotation management
Cons
- Tape backup could be improved, especially by improving tape library sharing
- Possibility to use only one tape library with more than one Veeam installation (sharing tape library)
- Adding failover / clustering function
- We can certificate backup solution
- We can do a disaster & recovery plan
- We can protect our backup from cyber attack
simply it is what our consultant had suggested us and we adopted
