Veeam Backup & Replication

Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup & Replication

I'm a long time Veeam user as they were the 1st backup company who's product just worked back in a day. Arcserve and Symantec were too buggy and too focused on backing up physical infrastructure. Veeam works flawlessly.

Pros

  • Good backup speed
  • Deduplication ratios
  • Replication to remote site or cloud for DR purposes.

Cons

  • Perhaps web-based UI that we could access from a Linux machine.
  • I'm in the education so an easy to use product is always a good investment.
I think that Veeam has built a product that can be used either by very small businesses or large corporations. Now with v10, you can even use Linux proxies to scale out.
