Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop Enterprise

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I found Splashtop looking for a lower-cost way of accessing and controlling remotely deployed computers. Splashtop came out on top because of ease of use and cost. I use Splashtop almost every day. It has been a very cost-effective way to access and control remote locations. Since I discovered it, I have had several of our employees get on board and use it to aid in their jobs. Splashtop just works.

Pros and Cons

Pros

When we hire new managers it allows remote training and on-boarding.
Splashtop is easy to use and deploy to new computers and groups
I had previously used log-me-in for remote access. Splashtop is much simpler to use and set up.
Splashtop gives a lot of bang for the buck.

Cons

Sometimes when adding a new computer it seems there are too many steps to add them.
Most of my use is my accessing remote locations. The ability to simply add a remote computer would be desirable.
Moving files are sometimes iffy. I have to be very careful to double-check that the file is correct on both ends.

Return on Investment

We have a high turnover of our remote managers. With a little pre-planning and Splashtop access, it's pretty easy to tailor a remote computer to a new user in fairly short order.
The ability to remotely set up computers saves on shipping costs and speeds up the redeployment of our equipment.
Splashtop allows remote training of our managers with the ability to actually show them how to access and manipulate their data to what we are looking for in our reporting.

Support Rating

In all truth, I have never contacted Splashtop support. I read the instructions and make adjustments as needed. Once in a while, I find a problem but there's always an answer somewhere. My needs are pretty simple. Perhaps on more complex uses, I would find a need for support but as I use it I find it to be pretty easy to manipulate.

Products Replaced

Yes - Log me in, Teamviewer and GO-To my PC were the 3 previous programs we used, the most recent one was TeamViewer. The move to Splashtop was because of the cost and simplicity of setup. Splashtop gave us a low-cost, simple solution to remote access, The ability to add groups of 10 at a time makes it easy to scale it to any size needs.

Likelihood to Recommend

Splashtop works great with simple remote computer access. If all I want to do is move a few things around it's great. If I want to deploy a new software program it seems to work as I wish. I can't actually say I find Splashtop lacking where I would consider something else. Keep up the great work on it.
