Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It is used across the whole organization in both Network and IT. Currently transitioning from a satellite network to ScienceLogic from Netcool. And we are now adding IT to ScienceLogic.

Communication surrounding systems (SyncServer to IS, for example) is being retired.

Return on Investment

Positive: as we have been able to train resources internally to develop and support. Our old product required expensive consultants to support.

Yes - Netcool. We had to rely on expensive external consultants to support Netcool. We made a conscious decision to move to ScienceLogic because we were going to develop internal talent to support.

IBM Tivoli NetCool/OMNIbus

Much Better. Support in-house and ease of use compared to Netcool.

Likelihood to Recommend

Yes, we'd recommend it. ScienceLogic is in line with industry standards and technologies. ScienceLogic has been great at taking our feedback and actioning items.
