Overall Satisfaction with ScienceLogic

Overall, monitoring of critical systems and metrics. It's used by IT and our Services team.

Pros

  • Very inclusive set of integrations.
  • Easy to follow documentation.
  • Good user permission management.

Cons

  • Has the look and feel of a 1980's product.
  • Can be complex to set up dashboards.
  • Too many choices to get things done.
  • Really requires professional services.
  • It was hard to adopt: 6 months in and not rolled out.
  • No enterprise adoption yet.
Yes - We replaced Datadog because of DD's silly pricing structure.
  • Really none.
It seemed to have the largest amount of support and integration points.
AWS and network device monitoring is pretty solid. External metric collection is a little challenging.
