Overall Satisfaction with SAP Integration Suite
We use SAP Integration Suite to create integrations that bridge gaps from manual processes or to address business needs. Examples of how we use SAP Integration Suite include: create HR Data files to send to our time and attendance system, create integration to load time files from our time and attendance system to payroll, create an integration from SuccessFactors recruiting to WOTC vendor and background check vendor. The tool can be used to better create a cohesive ecosystem.
Pros
- Works with all SAP products
- Can be managed in house or by 3rd party SAP AMS support
- Easy for non-technical users to use for looking at integration logs and rerunning integrations
Cons
- Provide more pre-built integrations to use within SuccessFactors or other modules instead of everything having to be custom built
- Support is unable to provide advice on custom builds so you often have to engage a 3rd party partner
- Works best when you have the functional and technical teams working together. Otherwise, the system is too technical for a functional user to create integration and a technical user not always understand the functional perspective
- Ability to have multiple integrations across different SAP systems or modules and be able to actively monitor in one place
- APIs already exist for the different fields in SAP products and are easy to locate
- Can set email notifications to aid with monitoring and alert business process owners of issues
