Overall Satisfaction with SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

SAP ERP is being used by our entire organization. We do have separate SAP boxes for other countries and we use several "bolt on" systems to assist with areas that SAP doesn't provide the level of service that we need.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Generating reports
Handling multiple data streams
General ledger transactions

Cons

SAP doesn't have a good tax platform.
Is not really user friendly.
Requires multiple clicks to get at the data I usually need.

Return on Investment

The tool has been a positive for the company since its inception.
It allows the teams all across the U.S. to see transactions and master data in one location.

Alternatives Considered

Oracle Enterprise Manager

I have read some info about this system, but only used SAP.

Microsoft Office 2016, Vertex O Series, Workday Cloud Platform

Likelihood to Recommend

SAP is a nice tool to house all the financial sub groups into one system.

We leveraged Accenture for the overall project and Ryan specifically assisted with the tax implementation of Vertex. Note that our company was responsible for the majority of the testing and making sure all our bolt on applications were configured correctly.

Change Management Lessons

Change management was a small part of the implementation and was well-handled - It was important to notify users of the upcoming changes, but to most normal SAP users the upgrade was a non-issue.
