The support representatives we've been working with to implement 606 and Contracts module appear to not be as familiar with Contracts module functionality as we'd have hoped. They have been receptive and helpful trying to help work with our implementation company to implement Contracts module, but there have been some limitations based on the gap in understanding of both accounting workflow and Contracts module itself, as well as communication issues between all three parties.

Intacct appears to be optimized for more simplistic sales structures, particularly in the Contracts module. When complex billing scenarios are presented, the Contracts module struggles to provide adequate solutions and results in the necessitation of highly customized workarounds and unintuitive solutions. The larger a company is, in terms of billing volume, and the more complex the billing scenarios (upsells to original, existing orders, etc.) the more difficult it becomes to use Intacct (specifically Contracts) in a way that is efficient or effective.
