Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

Intacct is used across the organization. Helps with segregation of duties as different departments put in bills that need to be paid, managers approve the items, and accounting issues checks. Also, accounting issues invoices and reconciles the statements and puts together financials etc.

Pros

  • Flexibility compared to other systems that can be very manual and rigid
  • Ability to move between entities easily
  • Canned financial reports that can be modified to fit your needs

Cons

  • Load times are slow
  • Truncated account names. Unless you know all of the account numbers by heart you will not be able to see the whole name
  • Cannot reverse purchasing transaction from a voided check without making an AP adjustment
  • Cannot attach bank statements in new Beta UI version to bank reconciliations until after the bank statement is reconciled
Not sure what is meant by integration here. If it is converting one system to another, it seems to work pretty well. If it is meant by being able to import documents or other items in the system, it also works well for that. Much outside of this I am not sure
Sage Intacct is good for a more medium-sized company. Probably not ideal for large companies. The ability to have multiple entities like our company uses is helpful to keep our clients separate. One of the things that we are not able to do is close off a class dimension without closing off the ability to run financial reports. So, if accounting still needs to do journal entries and run financial reports to a particular class before we close it, other departments can still enter accounts payable items when entries should be locked out.

Hi Ashley -- Great news, you can now attach bank files right away using our brand new reconciliation process that was released earlier this year. We now have a streamlined user experience that provides improved support for higher-volume reconciliations and makes importing, matching, and reconciling your bank statement a simple, quick, and easy task. In addition, you get the flexibility of searching, filtering and sorting to enable drill down on a granular level, and page pagination that enables acting on transactions across multiple pages. And this is just the beginning; watch for more in later releases. Plus, the Sage Intacct Action UI has been updated and improved! Action UI enables greater efficiency, personalization, and innovation, and you get access to new features built specifically for Action, and to comprehensive documentation that helps you become familiar with Action. If you have any questions, you can reach me at Reviews@intacct.com. Thanks!
