We are migrating a monolith that is part of the core business. OpenShift addresses our main problems: HA (the monolith has 99.999 % uptime) and scalability.

Pros

  • High availability.
  • Scalability
  • Ci cd
  • Decupling

Cons

  • User application logging.
  • Persistence of data and migration of data.
  • Onboarding for new employees.
  • Upgrades stuck.
  • Upgrades of operators stuck.
  • Image not present in public repo of operator.
OpenShift can host most of them, and most come pre-packed with the OpenShift installation.
