Red Hat OpenShift Platform Plus (self-managed)

Overall Satisfaction with Red Hat OpenShift

Standing up OpenShift and migrating applications into the clusters. The main business use case is to reduce costs for the hybrid platform.

Pros

  • Operators - number of available and ability to deploy and use.
  • Developer Hub - providing self-service scaffolding for infrastructure requests.

Cons

  • Developer Hub - increase capabilities for API integration to call scaffolding from external integration partners.
  • Dashboarding for applications teams to inspect and review usage of OCP.
  • There has been no impact yet as OCP is being stood up and teams are migrating into it. The expected ROI will be felt closer to year-end.
