Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

I currently use Monday.com for personal use while job searching and for long-term goals for my family. I have used it in the past while working at a school district in North Texas. For professional use, the scope use case for Monday.com was to drive yearly renovation and campus refresh projects to completion.

Pros

  • Automations are amazing. It puts the automation power directly in the hands of the Project Manager without waiting on engineer's to do it for you.
  • KPI representations are beautiful and seamless. Easy to extrapolate and share with stakeholders.
  • Integrations with other platforms is also a bonus - less is more.

Cons

  • The max number of lines on the personal use side could be higher.
  • The Kanban board isn't as seemless as Trello. I'd like to be able to click and drag data/cards at will while in a discussion with the team.
  • I'd like to see more employee adoption
  • some companies want PM's to project ROI but won't take it seriously
I've used MS Projects, Jira, Excel (self-created), Trello, and Monday.com... Monday is the easiest, most comprehensive, and most customizable.

Well Suited
  • This is a much easier platform to use than MS Projects. I love that the fields are easily customizable.
  • The excel export is easy and works with any version.
  • The automations to email specific inboxes/people with priority messages when events happen lessens the amount of time it takes to communicate certain events/activities.
  • Some stakeholders enjoy color coding and Monday.com nails that
  • The fact that it has a form option is great...
Use improvement
  • The forms could be improved with sub-options. Phone access is available but really could be improved overall
  • The dashboard is useless in the free version since all of the widgets have to be paid for
  • The Kanban could be more fluid
