A dream platform for productivity and collaboration!
Overall Satisfaction with monday.com
- We have only been using monday.com for two months. We have already streamlined processes and increased productivity by 22%.
Within the Institute, several marketing and communications groups use monday.com. My team is within the College of Design and it is currently and largely being used to track projects of all marketers within the college, as well as serve as individual daily to-do lists for each member of the team. As we become more comfortable in all the ways Monday.com can help us, we are planning to expand the use to content and editorial planning.
Using monday.com solved one of our biggest issues, which was visibility into what is happening across the college. We all used a different platform for project management, so moving the entire team to the same platform has increased our communication and opportunities to work together on projects and articles. Our second biggest issue was keeping track of tasks, big and small. With the desktop and mobile app, I can now easily add things to my to-do list and not worry about losing track when little fires emerge during my work week.

Pros
- Collaboration. I have never used a platform where the entire team can communicate within boards. It's so seamless for my team.
- Notifications. I can customize when I'm notified and what I'm notified about. I have not been able to control what I'm pinged about using other platforms. Having the option to select, gives me more time to be productive.
- Customization. My team struggled with making sure our boards could all sync to one dashboard because of how customizable each board was, but once we aligned, everything was smooth sailing. We realize there are many ways we can still niche down to customize, which is a great option to have for the future, or more specific boards we may share in the future.
Cons
- Automations. There are a few things I'd like to become automated that aren't available at the moment.
- Linking Boards. This caused my team a bit of a headache, even with tutorials. We had envisioned not having to re-enter the same information, but linking boards didn't exactly take an entire entry and copy it. The concept and what is present is a start, but my team would definitely benefit from an automatic paste when linking fields in a board.
All the features of monday.com work exactly as described. Our team has tested the limits of the features we found useful, and they continue to be reliable no matter the load. Our entire experience since we started using Monday.com has really been a breath of fresh air and a productivity increasing change that our team needed as we usher in new staff.
