Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro for process maps, facilitating brainstorms, documenting systems, personal brain space and notes and more. Miro makes it easy to get started and draw something up from scratch. Personally, I don't use templates much, but there are many and more are added all the time. The biggest win for us, is the way we can prepare workshops with different subjects/frames and then take the participants through the frames and have a flow to the discussion. I also take whiteboard discussions and translate them into Miro, to be able to work with them in a more structured format.
Pros
- Flowcharts – very easy to get started and edit proces flows
- Data mapping and models
- Ability to move quickly between abstraction layers due to the large canvas
Cons
- Sharing of boards and moving between Teams and spaces is cumbersome
- Miro is a tool for canvas drawing, brainstorming and facilitation. It's not meant for project management or similar tasks that it might be adapted to
- It frees up some time, makes things easier to get started and makes peoples time more efficient
We do not have a distributed team, but it helps greatly in meeting facilitation on projects.
Also tried Lucidchart Miros canvas is larger, scales better, and is easier to work on for different types of tasks. You feel you have room.
