Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Our project teams use Miro to map their project strategies and customer/user/patient/employee journeys. Our operations and marketing teams use Miro to map out big internal projects and build yearly strategies. Our three studios (in the Netherlands, UK, and Brazil) collaborate a lot, and we mostly work remotely, so this is a great tool for cross-studio/timezone collaboration, especially for the creative process.

Pros

  • Daily updates on activity in relevant boards.
  • Easy communication tools integrated into the platform.
  • Cool functionalities that make video calls super easy while using Miro.

Cons

  • We have a lot of huge boards and sometimes it's hard to know how big the board really is and what's on it. Some sort of index of elements and/or a 'you are now here' type of functionality could be cool.
  • It allowed us to continue to offer hybrid- and remote working to our employees, which makes hiring and staff retention a lot easier. We also saved money on office space and employee commutes. It also allowed us to work with international remote freelancers, often in more affordable regions of the world.
Very positively. Collaboration with our Brazil team is much smoother now, and we run more projects with their team.
We work both with Miro and TheyDo. TheyDo is better for highly complex journey management and a great tool for Service Designers. In other cases, Miro's simplicity works better for project- and client collaboration purposes.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

It's fabulous for creative agencies and remote working companies where collaboration is super important. More traditional and controlling/distrusting companies who mandate working in the office should continue to brainstorm and collaborate the old-fashioned analog way, on big sheets of paper and with sticky notes on walls.
