Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use MIRO to facilitate brainstorming sessions and workshops. I am a user experience strategist, which is a core function of my role. I also use MIRO to organize research materials and other information needed for these workshops and track our team's work via the Kanban feature in standup ceremonies.

Pros

  • Provide a variety of tools to facilitate workshops.
  • Provide a helpful array of templates to jumpstart a workshop or exercise.
  • Provide a place for our team to collaborate.

Cons

  • I find it hard to keep track of the multiple boards we all make.
  • Having all the AI features promoted so prominently when my company does not and will not pay for the AI features is counterproductive and gets in my way.
  • Keeping track of where certain things are on a large Miro board is difficult - staying organized and moving around parts of the board and content.
  • Improved collaboration.
  • Improved organization.
  • Improved buy-in from leadership to include them in workshops.
It's allowed us to collaborate on new projects. We have team members across the US, Europe, South America, and India. Without MIRO, we would be unable to include these team members in our user experience process, as they would not be able to participate in our discovery or definition processes and workshops.
Miro is way better, with more functionality, tools, and frequent updates and optimizations to allow your users to be faster, more efficient, and more effective at doing what we need to do in your whiteboarding tool. I'm always impressed with the frequency of updates and changes to improve the tool - it seems to happen almost weekly, and it's greatly appreciated.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is helpful when brainstorming or conducting workshops remotely - this is the main thing I use it for. I use it to diagram or map out user journeys, empathy maps, analyze research output, etc. It isn't easy sometimes when the environment is hybrid in-office and remote to conduct these sessions in this fashion.
