Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I use Miro for several different things. I use it for project management, from ideation to organization and assigning of tasks. Hosting an ideation session with a remote team is made so much easier with Miro.
I also use Miro for presentations. It's the best way to communicate progress and pitch ideas to stakeholders.
Lastly, I use it for creating process maps. I am responsible for documenting and improving processes for global teams. This tool not only allows me to create the map, but also share it, get feedback, and improve it.

Pros
- Enable collaboration. People can work asynchronously on the same project, easily picking up from where the last person stopped. Tasks can also be assigned directly in the board so communication can stay in one tool.
- Communication. Miro is a powerful tool for communicating with stakeholders. Most times, it's far easier and more effective to show someone a process map to explain how something could work, or a mind map to show my thought process, than to document it in an email.
- Act as a central hub. With the most recent AI enabled features, I am finding that more and more of my tasks can be centralized in Miro. I can ideate, plan, organize, communicate and execute in the same board. And then I can use AI tools to proof and revise, help ideate, and help organize.
Cons
- I'd like to see more integrations with other tools. I love using Miro, but not all of my coworkers use it. This makes it difficult to collaborate as effectively as possible. For example, if I could assign a task, and then that would trigger an automated email notification.
- I would like a more robust, dynamic presentation feature. I'd like the ability to click an item and only then reveal the following steps in a process, as an example.
- More robust use of the Create With AI feature. I would like to past a bulleted list, or a document and have the feature create a process map.
- Quicker deliverables. I am responsible to ideating and writing requirements. Miro enables me to ideate faster, make sure all stakeholders understand the problem in the same way, and create requirements based on that.
- Better alignment. Historically, there has been confusion around the standard processes to be used globally as each team seemed to have a different understanding. Miro ensures there is a singular understanding of the problem.
Miro has had an immeasurably positive impact on my organization's ability to collaborate. When a team is assembled to solve a problem, we are scattered across the globe. Team members can add to a board during their work hours, and others can easily see at what stage in the process we are and pick up from there. The ability to add voice tracks is also incredible. I can leave an explanation of something, or answer a question directly in the board.
Miro offers a more seamless and more robust experience than either of these tools. It allows me to brainstorm, ideate, map a problem, design a solution, plan, and execute all in one board.
The collaboration features are excellent and varied enough that I still have several that I want to try. The templates make it easy to get started without the need to format.
